In all honesty I find the name really egotistical and detracting from the skaters. Yes, it's great to have your great coaching acknowledged and to grow your brand, but skating's a small enough community where you don't have to have your name announced every time your skater skates domestically or in a way that your name overshadows that of the coaching team you almost certainly have helping out.
@missing The coach and skater does does, generally. There are things like age that will force some girls to turn Senior, but for the top Junior girls that go to Senior early domestically there's a strategy to it. Some coaches think it will help them get better assignments if they show they can compete with the Seniors. Some coaches thing it's better to have them in a more intense level of competition. Maybe there's some funding differences at the club, sectional, or national level. I'm not quite sure.
