It’s called milking the new system. Rotated splats aren’t worth what they used to be and UR 3-3s are GOE suckers. She made the right call even if it’s not ballsy.
I can see that: still not approve :blah:
Now fun in that :saint:

?? SP recap pt2:

Commenteray
I need to mention again as it sucks so much. Oh boy. :scream:

PAIRS
MTM2 - As known, I am no fan, but this was another league than the rest here of course ??‍♂️
W/M - ?
R/W - I really like them, but somehow I think he needs another partner ??
M/F - Never seen them, really liked that. Do they have minimums, just in case?

MEN
Kid - Way too much kid for me but you can't deny this was solid.
Messing - no comment.
Nguyen - I am in a dilemma here. Somehow I am in for a good comeback story, but not if this means Romsky is out ?
Orzel - That was a pleasant surprise, but we all know his FS's this season :gallopin1 He was not much into it until the last moments; not too impressed
Romsky - One of my favourite SP's of the season. I really love how much he is into it. Love the big balls going for 2 quads, but agree on what @pinky166 mentioned above, not very clever regarding the new system. 4-3, then 1t and twizzle stumble, :gallopin1 at its best :D
Elvis - :gallopin1 My avatar had nothing to do with that! ???

I just read Coughlin's news. Whether or not the allegations were true, it is shocking how this ended so abruptly and tragicly :(
I can't believe it either. How terrible:(

I was going to post about Canadians, but now I don't feel like it. Let's just say the trainwrecks were trainwrecks and Larkyn's combo wasn't spectacular in any way, but the program is cool, she did it really well and she looked fab, so fab I forgot Majorov's skating to this music too:glamor:

I don’t know what to say about John Coughlin. Until now I never heard a bad word spoken of him. I know that seemingly kind people can kill and even criminals can do good - it’s not black and white. I just wish I knew what really happened. I guess only God can judge. Still, my heart is broken.

What a drama event at ?? Ladies FS.

Chartrand winning this shit, oh yeah :encore:
Is Cotop eligible? Has minimums?
Mallet solid comeback.
Austman with underwhelming program, but MESS#57.
Gabby with MESS#58, POTS#24 and drama

Now I am really curious who they send where?
(Who has minimums?)
Will Gabby make it to JPN cause the other fail to qualify the TES?

It seems the Canadian Fed has given up on everything but dance. They haven't sent a lot of skaters out to get minimums. Maybe they will and maybe they'll just sigh and hope for their dance teams and Gogo to do well at junior worlds.

They tried to send Aurora and Brasseur/Bardei out for minimums. Both were dealing with injuries, so they WD.

Gabby, Veronik and Alaine have Worlds minimums (+Alicia Pineault who WD from Nats). Larkyn has 4CCs. Aurora has none since she was dealing with a fractured pelvis in the fall.

Body of work will get Gabby spots at 4CCs and Worlds, but it will be up to her and her team to decide whether she should go or not. Aurora may be sent out for Worlds minimums to a B event.

@Mad for Skating you didn't even comment on Evelyn and Trennt's great performance which should give them the 2nd Worlds spot.

Honestly, I’m thrilled! They are so awesome, especially their short program! #teamsexyunitards #marrymeevelyn. But I had faith in them from the start!

Also, I’m overjoyed for Weaver/Poje - that FD was so heartfelt, especially since it was exactly 6 months after Denis’s passing.

Bossman ?? FD/FS recap pt.2:

Dance:

Overall
- lovely depth towarsd worlds; at least 5 pairs for 2 medals, and to me, with a little mistake not even P/C are safe anymore.
- S/F oh boy :shuffle:
- Danada: best choreo slide this season! I am no fan of all these choreo elements in dance, but if they are done like that, they are really great :respec:
- G/F: this is seriously one of my all time fav FD's, so great. I loved it from the start. Finally a great outing in both segments, well done. Deserved the FD win.
- W/P: This must be the first time in 4,5yrs I really liked them. Great RD , good FD; I am fine with their overall win. Welcome back. Awesome dress.

Men:
- Romsky: The program is stunning, one of the best edited programs I can recall (teh best since Liebers' Schindler's List), great costume. Whilst I adore the big balls going for the hard stuff I am not sure if his team should rethink their strategy; playing somehow safe could get him on some team and now he missed it the 2nd year in a row :gallopin1 Hope he keeps the FS, so good.
- So Elvis fought his one-combo-way-back to 4CC's? :gallopin1
- Orzel: making :gallopin1 proud in losing the junior worlds spot :yikes: To be honest, I was not much impressed with him; very stiff and focused.
- Phan, Messing, Gogolev: not my folks.
- Nguyen:I love some good comeback story, the program suits him, congrats buddy.

Chartrand and Nguyen winning, oh this is real fun :encore:

(My Larkyn skated to POTO, blah, managing to miss podium. Karma. Really happy for Alaine though!)
