Are there actually any ice dance teams which meet all these criteria? There definitely was one.. but they ceased to exist before the #ttw

Who was that team? And did they ever earn enough hardware to disqualify themselves?

Regardless, there are other things headcase ice dance couples can do besides belonging to Team Trainwreck. Appearing on Russian television on Sunday evenings, for example. So it goes, so it goes.

Speaking of Shpilevaya/Smirnov and Popova/Mozgov:

S/S have nice programs and were absolutely robbed by the Fed this season, but I still can’t say that I care a lot about their skating or find them heartbreaking.

I absolutely love Popova/Mozgov personalities and that they aren’t even trying to emulate other teams.
But again I don’t find them heartbreaking.. Maybe with better programs and form next season I will change my mind?

Still, we all know that if da boss liked them, they would have been on the team already
(I see them making a watch list last season as a small victory in P/M case)
