Euros is not that far away. Misha, in the one comp a meltdown could be excused due to his illness, he actually was decent and so he got himself to Minsk. Does that mean he'll bomb spectacularly there? What if Kovtun wins the whole thing? :rofl: We all know :TT1: won't survive it. What shape is Javi in? Yu Na came back after sitting out, and won only silver;)
But what if Misha wins the whole thing? I'll be deleriously happy! #delusional2.0 @Jeschke podium for Samarin? We really need to start talking Euros, folks! I haven't even started on ladies yet.

I love how Rozanov was never seen in any junior knc (not to speak of seniors) and managed posts here only because of his looks and #teamtutberidze :rofl:

I think podium is not totally outta reach for Samarin when he nails shit; international judges seem to ignore his skils (not as much as russian judges though :p ) and give him high scores, so if he nails it, boy is in.
Top5 should be Javi, Kolyada, Kovtun, Samarin and @rfisher 's toyboy. While I think Kovtun might have the hardest tricks and seems right solid, not sure what judges will do with PCS here. I think we have a ESP, CZE, RUS podium, likely in that order.
Speaking of national chances ?? (as I know @rfisher longs for that 2nd spot for Dimitrescu): with ITAx2, Aymoz, Moris and Posterboy, Top 10 might be outta reach. Same for telenovela-boy.

I agree, he has the tricks. Did he land a quad flip on IG just one of these days? If he stands up, I think it might be enough, even if @rfisher 's boytoy gets ++ for his guitar solo choreo seq

Sounds likely, but three out of these have trainwreck rep galore:gallopin1 There's always an upset. (look back to worlds last year..Boyang, Vincent finishing looooooow) Who's the dark horse here? For me it's Aymoz, but I'm not sure if I dare to say it out loud...

Judges always gave Kovtun crazy PCS with the most crappy programs and posture, so if they don't go with him now that he has improved, judges are even weirder than I thought;)

GO FENTZ!!! Grassl has the tricks but is a hot mess, Posterboy could finish 34th for all we know, as he's still going on about #blackwolfwhitewolf on his IG, despite what he promised #ttw at Nebelhorn and Rizzo's FS is zzzzzzzzz, with quad mostly MIA. (Ok, Fentz' quad is MIA too). Moris could slay, I'll cheer so hard for him, he has beaten all the Russians before and could do it again! I agree about Yuri!!!on ice - Swiss edition, he is regressing, he should just do pairs with Lambiel, it's not like the level is that sky high at the moment. Swiss pair split anyway,so....

My national corner....Comfy Ball's main goal is to get the FS worlds minimum. His SP is going well this season, so if he could get himself into a relatively good postition before the free, it could be doable. #judgesbias
 
And another question...will Gracie be at Nationals? January is a filled month, I'm preparing hard core cheering for my Larkyn at Canadians too!
 
Will they give Javi a going away present or will he actually outskate the rest. Show skating is much easier. If both Brezina and Kovtun stay on their feet, the nod goes to Michal, but if Koylada stays on his feet, he's on the podium. This will come down to who stands up.

As for ladies, they'll be Russia and maybe Belgium. Then a big gap.

Pairs: if Tar/Mor skate like they skated their free at nationals, they win over James/Cipres and cause all of J/C new fans to cry. Russia should get the 3rd spot and one of the youngsters get their first European medal. If the French retire after worlds as the rumors are, Russia goes back to owning pairs at Euros.

Dance: Nikita versus Puppy round two and both versus Italy. Gold shouldn't be a question, but, IMHO, if Sin/Kats are on fire, they could get close. I think they could be in contention for silver at Worlds.

@Jeschke is right about the us and Canada. These nationals are pathetic. Chen should win even if he stayed at school and studied for an exam. Ladies are sad. Pairs are pathetic, and dance is boring. All of them.
