She's like those little fish in a shark pool , surviving by always swimming underneath them.
She is a survivor, I'll give her that. It's going to be very interesting to see what the RusFed does with their selection. Since the junior Trio owned the podium, they can pretty much do whatever they want.

Trusova is a total badass and Kostornaia is an angel on ice. I love the juxtaposition between them.

That Stasia Girl, Zagitova and La Tuk is the way to go. Sofia 2nd should still be ready in case of Liza not recovering on time.

@Jeschke and I bribed the judges :biggrinbo

But come on, she deserved her spot on the Euros team with her performances at Nationals, it’s not her fault that both Zag and Med bombed there
Oh, I agree and I'd pick her if I were on the committee (well not really as I'd pick Gubanova but that's just me)

I haven't seen the skates but does anyone else think Z/E blew a chance at the GPF to
Bossman ?? Nationals Pairs FS recap (in order of final ranking):

Overall: Seriously, I can't decide between ?? pairs, but I would not want to decide between ?? pairs guys either :smokin:
Tarasova/Morozov: I would have had them in 3rd in the FS :shuffle: But nice to see them deliver with finally a non-shit-program.
Zabiiako/Enbert: I am totally biased here of course. Awesome  I think they are ready for the upset! T/M can't afford mistakes. Take this haters, awesome
Boikova/Kozlovskii: Performance of the night :encore: Holy shit that was great! Kozlovskii's reaction is everything :love::love: Well deserved spot! Congrats @Hanna and @Ka3sha
Pavliuchenko/Khodykin: Holy crap :respec: They laid it all down :respec: I am a fan since I first saw his 'silent words' going into the program. They need some more polish, but holy shit, that was good!
Mishina/Galliamov: She looked like throwing up going into the program, you saw that coming. Saved the rest though. This was too big for now.
Efimova/Korovin: Well, we knew all how this would end today ??‍♂️:drama: PMAOL at the best 3s2s stepout sequence ever ever  To be fair, this was their best outing so far. The lifts looked not as shaky, the jumps somehow landed. But this needs a lot of work to stay competitive for the international spots here ?
Panfilova/Rylov: I made up my mind; of all the pairs still skating junior, I love them the most  Such an exquisite classic look, awesome lines. The lifts are to die for, the ease and the distance within them. The first one was absolutely stunning. The 2a finally looks kinda solid for her, I hope somehow they can get her to a triple, god knows how :drama: He is so damn good. No words!
Kostiukovich/Ialin: This FS is so good. Though this was kinda messy today, I totally enjoyed that. Good save on the final lift by him; the lifts were kinda off this weekend. He is such a chickenbreast, still wonder how easy he makes them look like (usually). Love them  Both rockstars.
Kudriatseva/Spiridonov: PMAOL about Tat's 'Hop' during the scary lift  As if her 'hop' would pretend him for letting her drop  Well, it worked this time ??‍♂️ Kinda rough for them today, but still: RUS pairs depth finally stunning again!
Akhanteva/Kolesov: Good rebounce from yesterday, I need them at junior worlds. Another junior team I am totally into.
Labazina/Rakhmanin: Whoever you may be, big :respec: You seriously would have won every nationals in Europe besides RUS, FRA and ITA. Great job, hot guy :smokin:
Poluianova/Sopot: This team is death to my soul. They can't make it to junior worlds, they just can't! ?

Honestly, I think T/M can still have a mistake over Z/E. Yes, they have been mediocre but their performance here probably did more then enough to regain the confidence of the federation.

IF Z/E had taken advantage of the GPF and beaten T/M there, when they had the perfect chance, things could have been different. The SP left a crack in the door but instead of opening the door and declaring themselves as serious contenders they decided to shut it again. It could have been a real game changer but instead it ended leaving the order of things unchanged and nationals solidified it again.

Overall I'm certain the Russian fed. still think of them as a very solid #2 and backup to T/M and that's it. I think the scores given showed that as well. T/M will have to keep messing up while Z/E have to skate clean consistently for anything to change between them. They won't shake things up unless one team is a real disaster or the other really shows something in the making. They had a great season and have shown improvements but they still have yet to breakthrough against the big teams.

Frankly, if I were the Russian fed. I'd start looking at the teams that finished 3-4, B/K and K/P (perhaps 5th M/G too). Those are the teams that will hopefully break the rut. I'd like to be surprised but I don't have faith in the Mozer team.

Bossman ?? Nationals Ladies FS recap (in order of final ranking):

Shcherbakova -:eek::eek: Seriously, had anyone predicted her in 1st?:respec: I liker her more than Trusova, but I hate there is no calm in her program, everything is rushed and pushed into another position out of the jumps. She has good basics and I like her, but I hope to see you still in 5yrs with a different body. Congrats!
Trusova - Took the surprise (Shcherbakova) defeat quite well. As much as I disliked it for others, the PCS for the 3 juniors up there are fine for me (compared to each other!!!) Good tricks, but that's it for me ??‍♂️
Kostornaia - Stunning
Konstantinova - I am done. Seriously. No words  This was very cautious and considered but lived up to it in the end. It was not as great as last season, but who am I to complain with this result? Who would have thought she comes as best eligible outta this? This FS is great for her, she earned her spot. A medal would have been nice, but that's sport ??‍♂️ Euros medal is ****ing damn in reach if she not ****s up big time ??? Get your shit together girl! I still think, she is the one to drop for worlds :( But I won't think of that today :encore:This silent moment of joy and satisfaction was everything
Zagitova - She will always have my support as she goes on as olympic champ, but boy she was gifted. Especially yesterday. Not sure I like her making the team like that.
Samodurova - I am heartbroken for her; She was not perfect today and she is not up there yet in PCS (she just came alive the last minute), but she was robbed of that spot with Zag PCS yesterday and TES today. Seriously. :( Now it's her or Tuk? :drama: How bittersweet for Mishin :( Nontheless, I would have never seen her in such a position after last season. Go on fighting! ??
Medvedeva - Good comeback. Kudos to her fighting spirit ?? But let's face it, this had no soul at all until the last 20seconds ??‍♂️ PCS are a joke; if she is sent anywhere I will go :soapbox: so damn hard.
Tarusina - :blah:
Gubanova - Stunning skating. The mid-part is a bit boring, but the rest was just brilliant!
Guliakova - :blah:
Vasilieva - :blah:
Leonova - @alchemy void might kill me for this: but maybe it's time to call it a career Perkova. You had 2 great outings here, that would be a proper and satisfying farewell after a good season! A pleasure it was.
Tarakanova - What a way to start the event ?? Without GP this might have been her last nationals already. Somehow I have a soft spot for her.
Tsurskaya - What a :gallopin1 ride :( Another farewell performance? :(
Talalaikina - @alchemy void admit, you fangirled that so damn hard! We need her to do a 'TGS' exhibition with (shirtless) Samarin! :saint:
Sotskova - What a sad goodbye from nationals :( This knc was hard to watch. Awesome job by Tagaeva there  (She might be the only age eligible either way) but I hope Sot gets Universiade to bid farewell in front of home soil after a short but succesful career :( (((@Hanna )))
Nugumanova - Unfortunately this was very cautious and without spark. We have seen this way more fierce at the RC events :( KnC was really sad to watch. No clue if some funding was lost or if it's been just disappointment, but this was very very sad. What a long way back since GPF! Go on fighting Nugu ??
Panenkova - I love her emotions, joy and despair. Will we ever see her again? Who knows? I doubt, but hope!

Sotskova WS is pretty high (6th).She Will not drop below 24 Even after last season points get discarded so She has another season if she wants to fight back.

Scherbakova was the only one I could see staying junior but now she has a national title i don't see the point which complicates the landscape for next GP even more.

We have :
Sasha the 2nd, Quadsova
Alena the 2nd, the Angel
Anna the 4th,
Alina the 1st, Warhorse rider
That Stasia Girl,
Liza La Tuk the 1st, Twitter icon
Zhenya the 1st, Exiled Queen
Sofía the 2nd, Mishin stepdaughter
María the 1zzzt Sotskova

Thats already a full GP roster with no space for others like Sima, Tarusina or Perkova still un the Top 24.

That's why it sucks to be a Russian lady singles skater. I'm writing Gubanova's mother and offering to adopt the family. Seriously, I know these girls don't want to leave the MotherLand, but they really should see if there is a Granny from anywhere they could resurrect. Not that the Russian fed would release them. Which is another  issue.
