Pairs SP Groups 1-3 Recap

PRK - Still with this program?? It stopped being cute the minuted the olympics ended.
ITA2 - Better than what Im used to see from them but still boooring.
CZE - I thought for a new pair it was quite decent and should have been ahead of the italians. I guess she's the new Astakhova, meaning she's no Duskova or Martiusheva for sure but for the sake of keeping the hunky guy around (and his brother) she will do fine.
GBR - Yikes , their packaging is so bad. Stil not sure what are their goals
CAN2 - So much improved compared to the beginning of GP but they are just lucky pairs fields is so thin this year.
GER - This is one of my fave programs of the season. Everything fits. A shame on the jump but they should be proud of what they accomplished this year.
CRO - HOw the helll did she land that throw?? Greatest showman is becoming the go to music for people with no IN skills.
ESP - zzzzzzzzzzz
GER - still insisting on Malaguena? bleh. I bet Mari was laughing at the scores.
AUT - Not bad not great either. Loved the music
Tiny Giants: How I Adore Sui & Han!!! Its soo weird to see them skate so early and the program may not be all that but they are full of star quality and their execution and chemistry was exquisite. MAGNIFICAT!!!! :encore::encore:

Best Dressed - Minerva
Do-Hard: Cong Han!!!

We're such slacker fans :D

I woke up with no alarm in time for Bad Ass Tarasova/Hot Ginger. It says everything about CoP that Artur 1.0 and his magnificent partner that they managed to fit their step sequence just fine with the final dramatic part of the music. Today that part is to short for all the steps going on and T/M have the corniest cut repeating the whole thing, then just abruptly ending it all. I like the program, but come on. Rach is rotating at full speed!

And now Vanessa fell on the throw perfectly in synch the music.

Pairs SP Groups 4 & 5 Recap

First of all. Can I just say I fuccking love that throw jump graphics in the slow replay?? Tarasova and Peng flew!!!! and Zabijako was thrown like a frisbee.

Leftovers: From being the rejected ones to in medal position!! Yay!!! I still miss Yu soo much though.
Perky Canadian & partner: His back didnt seem so hunched today and their speed is nice. Could have been higher honestly.
Steel Skull & Sassy Boy: With all the mistakes this program falls flat .
Classic Moskvina Pair: Can't wait for them to finally become RUS #1
Italian Stallion & Partner: Kinda forgettable.
Mery Ann & Ginger: Such a good vehicle for them. The best part was Trankkov and Mozer at the boards though.
Pornyness overload: They chickened out!!! You could see it on their faces at the beginning after hearing T&M scores. Oh well, they had an almost dream like season.
Medieval Warriors: I wish this choreo could be seen in a pair with bigger personalities but I still loved it a lot.

I bet tomorrow we'll see the reverse happening: J&C skating lights out with nothing to lose and T&M bombing again when the door is wide open.

Best Dressed : Zabijako & Enbert
Do-Hard: Cipres all night to console him.

Wait. You thought KMT/M were underscored? I thought they were the biggest overscore of the night, and I really love her. But it's a boring program, he's weak, his 3T and the twist were both a mess....

I admit I wasnt paying much attention to them but I didnt find them much worse than during the season and they have scored better before.

Ok, I'm rewinding the pairs stream waiting for ladies.

Hase/Seegert are so smooth, really love them. And love the little touch of hands before they jump. Too bad about the step out, but top ten at worlds are nothing to cry about. Good job babies! (Seegert is 26:lol:) (I read both articles about them to practice my German. Minnie is the spunky, cheerful one, Nolan is more quiet and stays in the background)

Hocke/Blommart - Bless her, she's really trying. But that was sloppy. They're buried in the stand with grandma Brit and hot Portugese.

Ziegler/Kiefer - So good to see them back. They should have brought back last years SP too, as I agree with Bossman. This is zzzz.

Sui/Han - they've had better programs, but man! Even with cheesy music, they manage to make me take them seriously.

Leftovers really cute. Short hair power of Chinese pair girls. But I miss Yu too! (Don't miss Big Daddy...)
Now here comes North America....wonder if I'll have anything to say about them....

Ok, tried watching MTM but it was too sleep indulging. There's a lot of sloooooow pairs music this year. Makes me wanna high five Zenberts, even though they both look like they're straight out of a grade school play in those outfits.

Hot takes from the pairs short:
First group: haven’t watched yet

Petranovic/Souza-Kordeiru: Cute program, shame about the spin, okay I’ll admit it I just watched to see their very handsome coach.

Barquero/Maestu: For being a total copy of Marchei/Hotarek this was actually pretty good.

Ryom/Kim: this was good but I want to see new programs ok?

Hocke/Blommaert: Not bad, but not exciting. I can’t wait to see their free skate though, it’s killer.

Walsh/Michaud: Hot. That’s all.

Ziegler/Kiefer: I got so emotional! Two months ago they were crying over their coach and now they skated a great short. Can’t wait for them to slay the Adele FS.

Hase/Seegert: Just beautiful.

Cain/LeDuc: that was a scary fall, but they’re in 9th which means 2 spots aren’t out of the question.

Italian Boxing Babes: ohhh that stupid double salchow! Everything else was great though.

The French Bodyguard: I feel so bad. I was rooting for Sui/Han to win, but I didn’t want J/C to flop. This was not good at all and honestly I’m not sure if they can pull off a medal, but then again they moved up from fourth at the Grand Prix Final to win comfortably.

Moore-Towers/Moscovitch: Nice program, but overscored.

Baby Russians: Amazing talent, great technique. Not a fan of this SP but I like them in general.

Crazy Rich Asians: Now this is what I’m talking about, honey! Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous (and the skating wasn’t bad either). IMO they should’ve been closer to T/M.

Baby Crazy Rich Asians: Best Pairs short of the season for me. This had everything; every move is charming. The closing pose is iconic 😂

Charity Barnum and Ron Weasley: I prefer Sui/Han, but this was stunning. The pure explosion on those tricks is mind-boggling. They finally have two good programs, so I wouldn’t cry if they won worlds.

Trinity and Neo: Clean elements, but this swordfighting program just makes me shake my head. Every time.
