Kim is still obnoxious, but she did 293501 times better this week.

ETA: Random, Erin is :smokin: tonight.

So how come Derek gets the original AC/DC recording and others have to settle for the shittastic singers?

That being said, I really, really like Bindi. I wish she was given a different partner so I could enjoy her performances fully.

ETA: Keo shouldn't ever test his luck at the casinos. Dude has some rotten luck.

Kim was a completely different person tonight! Happy most of the songs used the original recordings with only a few crappy band covers.

I don't think Bindi deserved that 9, and if she'd had a different song, I don't think she would have received it. It's amazing what a difference the music choices make.

I'm throwing all my votes to Alek and riding his train as long as he's there! :p For someone who is truly just a normal guy off the street, with no performance training or background, no experience in any type of television or performing in front of crowds, or any type of media experience, he's pretty good. Being charming and cute don't hurt either. :p

I watched some of it tonight. Bindi, Toni, the couple, Alek are all decent. I didn't see any of Chakka but I would certainly rather see her stand there than Paula Deen - who by the way. looks terrible!! Talk about someone who looked better fat! Gary, sheesh, he's enthusiastically craptastic! I have always wondered if those are false teeth or caps.....screw his dancing. I like the Jockey just for his verve. Missed Kim & I don't care.

I dunno, I still don't know if I can watch this entire season. It's become so predictable.

I liked hero guy and the young guy. My first full show so I don't have the names yet. I'm liking this better than I thought I would. Maybe because those two seem so genuine in amongst all the huge egos? Refreshing.

The hero guy isn't the best dancer though. I know this is essentially a popularity contest, but IMO it shouldn't be 'based on their experience, they're good', it should be who's the best. Right now I don't know who that is (I'm thinking one of the PenaVegas or Tamar) but IMO not Alek. (I hope this doesn't feel like I'm attacking you BaileyCatts, just stating my opinion).

- To me, tonight Alek's lifts were really good, but his actual dancing (the 3 seconds of it between lifts) wasn't good. I thought he was better last week, but very 'middle of the pack'.
- Tonight I felt bad for Nick, because you could see the fall really threw him off. He was really tight, and surprisingly slow. He deserved his score. So far I'm a bit disappointed - I was expecting more from him.
- I'm not on the Hayes train - I thought the judges were a bit generous with his comments. Posture is bad, and when he was doing turns, he wasn't stepping fully around, he was spinning on the ground (made me think of an under rotated jump)
- Paula's rumba was way better than I expected. Other than her mistake, I actually enjoyed it.
- Tamar was great, but I agree with the judges that she needs to connect with Val more. Way to go for doing a solo dance so early on!
- The PenaVegas are amazing! He's a little bit better but maybe that's my dislike of Mark coming through.
- Victor is adorable. It's kind of cringeworthy to watch his dancing, but his energy and performance are wonderful.
- I love Bindi's personality, but thought at parts she was very stiff and somewhat clunky tonight. Maybe 8s, but definitely not the 9.
- And Kim was a completely different person tonight. WOW!
- Gary is a character. Was reading about him tonight - I knew about his brain injury in the 80s, but I didn't know that just a few years ago he had a cancerous tumor, the size of a golf ball, removed from his sinuses! WOW!
- Andy was pretty sloppy. I didn't even notice the lack of timing because I just found his dancing sloppy. But he's kind of adorable.

I don't care who the best dancer is because this show is rarely about who the best dancer is anyway. Any show fan voted is always a popularity contest. Hell, I voted for Tony and that Crazy Designer Lady just because she entertained me. I voted for Bristol and Mark just to piss people off and hear them whine and complain about something as insignificant a TV show. :p Until it gets down to the finals, I just vote for who I like the most and who entertains me the most. Once the person I liked the most gets voted out, I start voting for the Pro I want to win moreso than the celebrity (or against the Pro I don't want to win).

I hardly vote but when I do, I'm the same and just vote for the one I like the most. Or the one I think will bring the most entertainment as this show doesn't seem to me to be about who the best dancer is.

I thought Tamar did the best last night and enjoyed Alek and Gary. Hopefully Kim is the one leaving tonight but I have a feeling it will be Victor.

Maybe it's because she's Derek's partner but I find Bindi a little OTT & potentially annoying. Calm down girl! I too found her a little clunky last night - the 9 was for Derek. (I loved the line last year - do you know what a 6 feels like?) It's shallow of me but I thought her dance costume was not flattering.

Of course she loves her life because it's the only life she knows but I thought her father was insane - who dangles his baby over a crocodile? It's just a matter of time before one of her "pets" eats her.

I like both of the Penavegas, Alek, & Nick, & I enjoy Victor's enthusiasm. I only gave Nick one vote because his fangirls will keep him on the show.

I started watching late last night, so I missed Paula then, but I saw her today on youtube. I don't care how much she improves (Louis is a miracle worker whoever his partner is), I want her gone.

Gary may not be able to dance, but watching how much joy he finds in life just makes me smile.

Chaka Khan and Keo were interviewed on GMA this morning. She was most gracious and said she enjoyed meeting everyone and dancing with Keo. She did say she was somewhat relieved to be leaving as she had stage fright when dancing. Guess that explains her forgetting the program.

How can you not love Bindi?!?! She is adorable!!! What a little firecracker!

The partner choice can kind of drag one's enjoyment down a bit. I'd feel better rooting for her if she wasn't doomed to be another sideshow in the three-ring circus of Derek. And the score was too high for the technical aspects of the tango (there were many, many things funky there, especially from the waist up) but that was a really good music choice. And yes, it totally works as a tango.
