So I learned recently that I get MAX free through our cable system. Over the weekend, I did all the sign up stuff and decided to start watching The Pitt with Noah Wyle which I had heard about but figured I would never get a chance to see since I didn't have MAX. I am happy to report that watching it turned out to be a VERY good choice since I blew through all seven of the available episodes just in time to watch the new ep tomorrow. I absolutely love it! It's such a great show and I'm already growing attached to this cast. They are all SO different but I love how well they work together (the head nurse is my favorite person) and their stories are all so fascinating. So happy that I finally get to watch this show and can't wait for the new ep tomorrow night!
What all would you guys recommend for me to check out on MAX? I've become more picky with some of my TV choices lately but I'm curious what you guys are watching on this streaming service.
The Blockbusters (a commitment to be sure): The Wire, The Sopranos, Game of Thrones, Succession
Great Limited Series: Chernobyl, Band of Brothers, Mare of Easttown, True Detective, Big Little Lies, Station Eleven, Watchmen
Laughter/Lighter Fare: Silicon Valley, Somebody Somewhere, Sex and the City, VEEP, Girls, The White Lotus
Regular Series: True Blood, The Leftovers, Deadwood, Rome, Euphoria, Westworld
Probably your best bet is to go to those greatest shows on HBO/MAX lists to get an idea. They were the pinnacle at one point, then first among equals and now other streaming services match them but they defintely have the best catalog of their own programming. And I've left many off....happy hunting.
