I watched that movie on my cruise! It was great. The book it was based on was great too. Something like: King Arthur The Dog Who Crossed a Jungle to get his Home.

I just started watching that show with Steve Martin and others (Sting last night!) Murders Only in the Building. I’m actually enjoying it a lot for the most part! I’ve been more into streaming series lately rather than movies, so after Elzbeth this was the next one I found.

The new season starts later this month. I find Martin Short to be the funniest part of the show. I go hot and cold with it. Some episodes keep me very entertained and others I find my attention wandering.

I have the same Black Friday deal. Hulu is the WORST for ads.

Yes, they are worse, I think, because there’s no countdown timer.

I actually upgraded to ad-free, paid for a year. It was a converted subscription that I had a discount on, so it was something like $100 for the year IIRC. Worth it because I watch a lot of Paramount programming.

Top 10 Television - Cobra Kai (Netflix) has fallen WAY off. Happy about Unsolved Mysteries (Netflix). I still get nostalgic about the Robert Stack series.

So I'm about 7 years late on this one but I just started watching Ozark tonight. Up to episode 5 and wow, this is a great show! But I guess everyone already knows this.

No surprise about A Good Girl's Guide to Murder. I read the first two books back-to-back over the span of 3 or 4 days and thought they were great-- and I'm usually one who is over some of the top YA series.

Also thrilled to see the Criminal Minds reboot, now having finished its second season, performing to such massive numbers. That show was singlehandedly the reason that got me into criminology when I was in the middle of college the first time. I even took an elective course called the Sociology of Serial Murder, and one of the writing assignments was to summarize a TV series plot. I think 75% or more of the class chose an episode from that show to focus on. Anyways, I like the season-long cases they have now, and I really enjoyed this season. The formula of case, interrogations, clues, and wrap it up by the end of 45 minutes kinda ran it's course in the old series.

Meanwhile, Netflix will be airing a live hot dog eating showdown between Joey Chestnut vs. Takeru Kobayashi on September 2 (Labor Day)!

We were hoping to see their annual showdown at the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest on July 4 but Nathan’s has now banned Chestnut due to his endorsement deal with Impossible Foods.

I’m definitely going to watch this showdown!

I watched the first 3 seasons back in April but I'm currently watching The Expanse and I'm far enough in that I don't want to stop for Umbrella Academy so I'm going to watch it after I've finished The Expanse.
