I'm not sure how I feel about Jamie Lee Curtis as Jessica Fletcher.I am not against older actresses leading new movies. They could have hired Mikey Madison or someone like that.
I am one of the biggest MSW fans that there is and I’ve seen every episode probably no less than 10 times. I know Lansbury otherwise stated she wasn’t really a fan of a reboot probably around 10 years ago, so I’m not sure how to feel about either even if it is a movie.I’m not sure how I feel about this.

Honestly I was more interested when it was Octavia Spencer but that was before Angela Lansbury died and when she was asked about it and said she didn't want to see a reboot at all I knew it was going to kill the reboot. Kind of disappointed to see them going full steam ahead so soon after Angela Lansbury died. I know it's been a couple of years but still.I’m not sure how I feel about this.

I just can't see Jamie Lee Curtis being at the level Angela Lansbury was. She's a good actress, sure. But Angela Lansbury was criminally underrated outside of Broadway before Murder, She Wrote. She was one of the best actresses of her era and Hollywood didn't know what to do with her.
I can see Kathy Bates as Jessica Fletcher more than I can see Jamie Lee Curtis.Maybe JLC thinks she’s a good fit for a role like this because of the success Kathy Bates has had in the Matlock reboot.![]()

Good to know. I was wondering whehter it was going to be one spin-off too far. We're part way through Dexter: Original Sin and enjoying it. The actress playing Debra is really nailing how bloody annoying the character always was.I'm really enjoying Dexter: Resurrection. A plot that really shouldn't work for me, and it's doing the opposite. I binged all of the released episodes on the plane rides to and from Vegas and I can't wait to see where they go with this.
I enjoyed Watson after initially having my doubts. Of course, it's really just a remake of House with the Sherlockian angle shoehorned in, and not as good as House (which I'm currently re-watching) but it's very engaging.I have really been enjoying Watson. And last night’s episode (about a guy with alien hand syndrome) had one moment that actually made me jump and gasp. Good performances, interesting stories.
Yes, I noticed the House similarities. But Watson has all this betrayal subtext which House didn’t really have, or at least not the same way…I enjoyed Watson after initially having my doubts.
