Whoa-za! The bickering in here now. Maybe you guys could be more productive by coming up with a screenplay idea (about figure skating even) and try to shop it with an agent or something.

At least a movie about menstruation won an Oscar.
As to Roma, I didn't get a chance to see it.

I have a screenplay idea but it has nothing to do with figure skating. That will not stop me from expressing my opinion. ( I know you are kidding).
Actually, it's probably better time spent being more productive in focusing on one's ideas and not wasting energy on negativity. But the ego is pesky, and buttons are easily pushed. The vagaries of social media.
It's available on Netflix.
I assume your buttons get pushed too, or may be you believe you are superior to all of us?
There are many positive things that I spend my energy on, and I don’t claim to be perfect. What is so negative about me wanting to write a screenplay?
Yeah, I get that about monthly cost. Everyone wants money these days to watch anything, so one has to make choices. But Netflix is not that expensive, even though they are having the nerve to go up again on their pricing.
I thought Queen should have played longer too, esp given all the promotion.I'm kind of surprised they didn't perform Bohemian Rhapsody, but I guess it's a hard song to sing (if you're not Freddie Mercury).
BR is 3 for 3. Considering all the controversy, and that it wasn't really all that great, I'm stunned.
Not to discount Queen (I have always been a fan)but would what is going on now with movie, if Wayne’s World had not featured BR?
He's also very cute and he has a twin brother, Sami.
To be honest, looking at the last few Best Picture winners, it makes Moonlight's win even stranger. That ultra indie ultra low budget from an unknown director who had no history in the industry about a low-income black gay man in Miami really pulling off that win was the exception not the rule.
Oscar fashion was terrible this year.
The only outfits I like are Adam Driver's wife, Tina Fey, and the guy who wore the tux-gown. Glenn Close's dress was 40% too much, and my favorite horrible dresses were Maya Rudolph and Kasey Mus-something, the pale pink frou-frou disaster.Fashion slideshow:

I concur with Helen Mirren as best-dressed.
Some of the dresses looked better onstage than on the red carpet; and vice-versa.
Agreed! My favorite horrible dresses were Maya Rudolph and Kasey Mus-something, the pale pink frou-frou disaster.
Agreed!
While I've read that the family says the relationship between the two men is not accurate, my dad, who is African American and traveled across the U.S. in the military during that time frame, states that the "Green Book" and "sundown town" parts of it and the general attitudes were indeed accurate.I’m very meh about Green Book winning when the family of the black guy said the movie was far from accurate.
Ugh.
