I'm giving up in Joshi. She'll never get out of that huge hole she has been digging. But Swedish fed seems to have endless faith in her.

Love Mathilda, she is fierce.

Laurine I expected more from. She should have undressed half way through.

Wonder what fed will do with the Nebelhorn spot. The program is just lacking everything. Placed 14/34.

Forgive me in advance, I'm not quite my usual positive :cheer: self today, quite sleep-deprived and got my butt kicked running this morning, so here are a couple Lombardia thoughts:

Lecavelier was incredibly disappointing. After such stunning programs the past couple seasons, this new LP is really boring and lame. Marakova did it SO much better! It's like an American lady idea of a voidy program. :yawn: Which brings me to my next point:

Why the hell did she decide to go to freaking Kori Ade in the first place!? Shockingly, her jump teknik looked terrible here. :p The takeoffs were all over the place with really poor timing. She had a breakout season last year (almost medaled at Euros!!), so she ditches her coach? Even if she wanted to move to the USA, I feel like there were better options than this.

Perhaps this was simply a bad competition, but I fear the jumps willl be an issue all season long.

Speaking of regressing, holy shit, Joshi really is a shell of her former self. No idea what the issue is, but she was so much better 2 years ago, technically and artistically. @Jeschke is generous by keeping her on the team IMO. There are no jumps, there are no fun programs, there is no personality. There's nothing there, honestly the only reason I watched the entire program to see if Mama H was in the K&C.

Again, maybe after a few months back training with Mama H she will start to get it together (I think she only left Canada last month?), but I'm not optimistic.

Haven't watched La Tuk yet but this is a terrible result for her. I really think spot #3 is going to be a race to the bottom for Russian ladies between Pogo, Radio, Sotskova, La Tuk, and Leonova. Yes, Leonova. I kind of like her strategy of mystery so far this season, reminds me of Linichuk pulling L/A From all their fall events in the 01/02 Olympic season. :lol:

Queen U finishes 31st out of 34. Horror Hanzilikova finished 30th in the LP. :eek: In, like a field with a really low level (outside top 6) even for OES standards. Ummmm, ok, if Lil Sis doesn't go to Nebelhorn I'm going to have an uber gay meltdown in here and translate it into Czech and send it to their federation. :drama:

I am told I have a new Estonian girl to watch, perhaps that will put me in a better mood. :saint:

We need to find out who the choreographer was for this year. I suspect she has split up with Bourzat and he took all the voids with him.
 
Veteran :gallopin1 member Brezina continues to outdo himself in the worst ways. 9th at a small Senior B and beaten by freaking Sean Rabbitt. At this rate he will leave the team by the back door just iike Dasa (not good anymore).

His only conzolation is that new Poster :gallopin1 boy Samohin did even worse.

Im meditating about nominating Mura ... he sure has the medal potential and his costumes/music choices are WTF most of the time but not much heartbreak I guess.

Said moody emo coach tends to be unable to fulfill her professional duties at crucial times like international competitions. It's a pity because Laurine had improved tremendously under her coaching. But you can't work long with a coach you can't count on when it matters the most.
 
So, our first real weekend this season is coming to an end.

I watched Shoma, Deniss and Sondre of today's men. Priorities. Then I watched Jason, because I feel that's what a good skating fan should do, but all I could think of was @rfisher calling him "Pilates on ice". So, that's him from now on.

Oddvoll the Viking continues to be a good Viking, and lands nothing but a 2A.

Tiny Viking Anne Line does nothing of what she told Norwegian press about; most jumps I the second half, 3,3-combos... I guess I will keep faith, but thank heavens there's more to life than Nebelhorn...or is there?
 
Babyrizzo is heartbreak material for sure, but today he decided to let us rejoice instead! With Brezina being, ehrm, Brezina, we could do with more men. Danny Salmon is of course keeping our team proud in the meantime.

Yep. Their program info on their isubio hasn't been updated since the 2015/16 season (yeah...) but somebody in the know on GS listed their music as follows:

My hypothesis: They (or somebody in their coaching team) thought "Hey, why not do a program like Hubbell/Donahue's hip hop SD but more pop! And let's make it our new free dance!" :gallopin1

...although this doesn't explain why they chose to include Aretha, The Queen Of Soul. :confused:
