Gubanova for the team, asap
:gallopin1:fragile:

She's not even senior age elegible so let's give her time. However with those fragile nerves of her she's kinda doomed in the current russian ladies scene. Medvedeva and the others will have her for breakfast as soon as she moves up.

This doomed young lady has just beaten Tukt, Konstantinova and Kostner at St Pete Cup event..
She is a true :gallopin1

Exactly my point. When is a pressure-free event she shines. When it really counts she never delivers. That is a doomed destiny when you take into conssideration the other competitors in russian field.

I still wish she gets it together somehow though.

I know but hope dies last :fragile:
But look at Pogo, she somehow managed to become more consistent with time

be strong vice, be strong!
The Estonian test skate took place last week. Helery Hälvin had to withdraw due to an ankle injury, and she says "the Olympic train has gone" for her and that her career is most likely over. Albert Naurits withdrew as well.

Well its not as if Halvin or Naurits had much chance of purchasing the olympic ticket. Still sad for both.

Volchkova is back! :glamor:
Her skater splats, pops, shows belly and back, has to fix shirt during spin and got a tsareva-like-attack before leaving the ice :gallopin1

Murashov needs some polish, but I think he could be really great!

That poor kid! I feel so bad for him! :( What on Earth were they thinking by letting him skate in a shirt four sizes too big and so loose his back and stomach were showing and he had to adjust it mid spin! Couldn't someone at least have lent him a proper fitting costume? I would have been mortified! Anyway - he's gangly, all legs and arms but there might be something there one day!

If Russia will not keep Gubanova, she may come skate in the U.S.

We are happily sending out Mirai, Caroline, Karen, Mariah. Our ladies field is thriving with headcases.

Loena's Frozen SP is quite a dissapointment. Very generic choreo and even worse costume :blah:
Nothing more to add; vice might be very pissed about that.
That unitard, ehm, how do is say it: does not work in her favour either :saint:

Btw, I guess we will have to start a new thread right after Nebelhorn :watch:
A thread not longer needs to be closed after around 10000 messages. But I do agree.
Thread title suggestions are appreciated.

No juniors in here!

But, to be honest; I really liked that. I never was too convinced, this was great; for me, she was by far the best overall skater out there, so 25pcs seems kinda harsh, even with the splats.

But folks, you jinxed it for so long, and now you are sitting here crying and lamenting...

but wasnt Gubanova on a potential watch list last season, sure she isnt as prominent as Kitty in this thread but now look at her, she's all grown up w/o err the jumps or lack of stability thereof. :drama:

Nah. She never was. The only junior on watchlist was Kitty and Kitty got removed!
I admit, great potential. But we have to wait until she skates seniors to decide!

OMG! Perkova aged backwards and doing dance now  :biggrinbo

Yakushev is stunning! He is so into the programs, love his skating. And his looks do not harm either :p
My thoughts exactly :40beers:

Yesterday's junior free dance was a total ttw festival (the poles, both russian pairs, french couple, canadians ) - so much potential :watch:
