Trio delux :rofl: :rofl::rofl:

@Jeschke , I don’t know what have you done , but I actually quite enjoyed Samarin here... Yes, he is still a bit wooden and definitely not the most artistic skater out there, but he has really improved in PCS. I have seen him live many times in last few years and his improvements are quite visible.
Yet I don’t understand how he managed to get the same PCS as Shoma and our boy :shuffle:

Speaking of our boy, it’s good to see that he is not dying in the second half of the program. Now it’s time to learn how to count jumps.. and well maybe in three years Ignatov will also stop dying after 2:00 minutes mark..:gallopin1

Ryabova with 'The Colour of the Night' exhibition; strategic move. Will she win vice back?

Make it her LP music and I'll elevate her to uber status.

Love the crown on Sokolovskaya and Rukavicin 👑

This is an avatar-worthy photo!

I just love this thread and you folks 🍻
(yes, I am drunk right now, thus the sentimental :D)

Oh boy. ;)

Ok, drunken Boss and everyone, more trio for you all, and our fave coach!

Our boy:

Love them too much:

These two:

@Jeschke this is the dress? Awsome!

(Will I be transferred from jail to asylum? If Schulteiss is there I’m ok with it :D )

Aliev better watch it otherwise he's on his way to becoming Oda 2.0 :scream:
What Aliev needs to do is not bail on his opening quad then he wouldn't have a problem. Until he does, he'll keep losing to Samarin. But, there's a reason he's been on #TTW since his days as a junior.

Yea, for Nugu. Now, on to Nationals.

Isn't that just bad program construction then? I know some coaches make sure the programs are put together in a way that if the first fails it can be made up somehow other ways later without penalty.

Isn't there any different layout he can do that doesn't depend on him hitting that opening quad? Or there is no other option for him and he's just that terrible thinking fast?

Wasn't the problem that he popped the first two quads? I think he would have been fine if it were just one or the other.

My impression was that maybe Aliev wasn't hitting the lutz this week & decided to wisely leave it out in the quest of earning a GPF spot. (In a field where he probably only needed to finish top 2 & Zhou had politely withdrawn &--if I remember correctly--Shoma blew his programs in both the SP and the free before Aliev had to skate). But of course, when you take out your extra difficulty that puts more pressure on you to hit everything else so Aliev promptly missed the first toe. Got it back together, though, so I would hypothesize a zayak was a small price to pay for avoiding the :gallopin1 we all know he is capable of. Anyway, congratulations to him on a good competition and very good odds for making the Final!

After some stresfful weeks a few quick COR recaps:

Men:
Overall I think this was quite a solid event, specially for lemming boy standards.
Litvitntsev - Pretty and Okish
Krasnoshon - Like the dracula program but it does not suit him, at all.
Brezina - When Nguyen has a more charismatic Beatles program you're in deep problem.
Kvitleashvili - LOL at K&C with the kids coach. At least he's hottttttt
Timono - So sick of tango of roxanne.
Uke Uno - Lambiel is mercyless. He was complaining about the missing jump even before he left the ice. Love the costume and indeed was a good fight after latest miserable events.
Nam Noodle - Honestly Im rooting for Messin for the sole CAN spot this year. Sue me.
Yuri On Ice - If this wasnt a wake up cal that they need to up the tech ante asap then he's doomed.
YourBoy - Still hate this program for him but really glad he has recovered from last season setbacks.
Ignatov - Rukatvitchin chose him over Dmitri in the K&C. What kind of treason is this? He was like in slow motion. Very lucky Uno is still struggling to grab that bronze.
Greatest Boreman - Amazing shirt, but he doesn't even try to feel the music. PCS over Aliev are blasphemy

Best Dressed - Samarin
Do Hard - Litvintsev

Trusova got her Standard Poodle puppy! And, of course it's adorable since it is a Poodle after all. I guess her parents decided a win and trip to her first senior GPF was puppy worthy and gave it to her backstage. She has now joined the Poodle club with #maddiethesnake

She also was not released until this year. She did two JGPs and did ok; URs are her downfall. But her jumps looked much better today. Her presentation and musicality are absolutely delightful. She’ll be a great addition to Euros and Worlds.

COR Dance Recap

Tessari & Fioretti - Wish they would be later to fridge break them
Galyavieva & Thauron - Trained by Krylova and doing Carmen? Silly kids
Lajoie & Lagha - I think they can stil overtake S&F for the 3rd spot but is gonna be tight.
Skoptoca & Aleshin - dropped under the bus. Russian casualties.
Irrelevant Finger - It was nice but I was expecting something more over the top with those costumes.
Tobias 2.0 - Loooved the song and so weird to see some very old fashiond dance costumes .
Polish - Back to the vanilla dancing program? Yikes. Im starting to see why Boss hates them so much.
Jerk & Girl In love - Sublime program. Lots of nice details.
Voidy & Voidier - Damn this could even challenge Starry Night. So happy to seem the rewarded finally.
Monko's Man Team - Good but is not memorabble. World spot still in danger.

Best Dressed - Thauron
Do Hard - Khaliavin

Nugu :encore::40beers::encore:
Hell yeah. That puts her high on SB list.
#missionGP is on!

I am thrilled to see Nugu return to the international scene.

And sorry to say her #missionGP won't be successful. She's not in the top 24 SB. And even if she was, she'd be in the same boat as Tarusina and Gubanova last year. :wuzrobbed Not enough room and Russia's not going to skip the top junior debuters for a SrB-er, even if she's guaranteed one.

Sotskova/Sakhanovich's likely GP exit and Konstantinova's reduction to 1 GP (based on top 24 WS) makes room for Sinitsyna and Vasilieva, not Nugumanova. #noroomattheinn #doomisforetold

Konstantinova is going to drop like a stone in the WS after the 2017-18 points are taken out and the 18-19 reduced to 70% value wich happens before GP assignments, so she also likely said bye bye to the circuit this weekend.

Agree the open spots are reserved for Sinitsina and Vasilieva, maybe even Tarakanova before any of Gubanova, Nugu and other Senior B-ers gets it.

Stasya has a pretty good chance to be top 24 in World Standing after this season still, actually. Not for sure, but we'll see.

If you mean in the FS, he was skating right after Dima, so it's normal that Rukatvitchin would put Makar on the ice over sitting in the KnC with Dima. Then he had no more students after Makar, so no reason not to be in the KnC.
