Wow. Pairs was a lot to take in.

After that FS, I think it’s fair to put Susie and Bruno 2.0 on the watchlist. I think he was just seriously nervous, but come on, man. Hopefully they get it together at Nationals.

Hase/Seegert skated very well but that program was zzzzzz for me.

Fleur and Bill: I like the new costumes and this was a big step up from Skate Canada, but RIP Russia’s no. 1 spot for now. Still not a fan of this music.

Boikova/Kozlovskii: I expected them to be good, but not THIS good! I’m obsessed with this program for them. They really put themselves in position to contend for a world title. Kudos to them, they’re cute and I love his reactions.

GP Pairs FS

Holy ****ing shit, #TeamD has a medal! This is ****ing crazy. This is too good to be true and such a pleasant surprise after their last GP. That this FS (program) gets a medal, oh the irony But who cares

B/K. The fist is back! Can't stand the progran, love them.

T/M. Well, once the season has started, the program was special. Then they took away the ending. Then they took away the costumes. What's next? The new look does not work at all for the program. The entire mood is destroyed/does not come up right from the start. Big booo. Big big booo (Now when I finally really liked a program of them )

S/N. Well, what's to say? All the mistakes aside (might happen to nerves, a cold, or whatever,...) this was not good. Starting from the look. They got a GP and did not even care to get him 2 outfits? They skated through the program, especially her. Presentation and face did not match the music at all. I had no big expectations and was very disappointed still. Ouch. I am sorry @Mad for Skating

I actually prefer the SP, even though Blues for Klook is not a good choice for him, weirdly enough.

Shpilevaya/Smirnov. Good for them beating S/A clearly here. Did the stationary lift always look that way? I cannot recall, but I totally liked it.

I prefer Dima, but if he wants to beat Samarin, he's got to up his TES or he comes second every time. Now, the interesting thing will be to see how Kolyada is skating by late December. Russia finely has quite a few men in both juniors and seniors. Maybe two of them will be kind and get a third spot back at worlds next year for the Olympics.

I won't comment much on the skating.
But well, her FS is way too metaphoric, even for the schmaltz-sucker in me, but maybe that is exactly what she wants/needs right now, so I am fine with it.
I am happy she made it to nationals and to be honest, if she is able to somehow skate that program clean, I think this could be quite a tearjerker there.

No heartbreak? They just threw an easy bronze medal out the window! You can’t tell me they’re less heartbreaking than half the skaters you allow on this team. (Toothbrush girl, I’m so sorry). And they sort of rocked and splatted at the same comp.
Anyhow, one bad FS never killed nobody hopefully they’ll be back strong.
