A top jerk. His own mother won the very first 4CCs. I still care about Ilia…but he’s Jerk of the Century.… he doesn't care about a competition like 4CCs so he's what? Arrogant? Cashing in? Whatever.
But he is young, 4CC next year might be better. Its because US Nationals are too late in January. It should be the 2nd week of January.A top jerk. His own mother won the very first 4CCs. I still care about Ilia…but he’s Jerk of the Century.
No, he isn't a jerk. He is doing what is best for his career. Winning 4CCs won't have the same impact on him as it did for his mother. We'll have to wait and see if he decides to compete in it next season or not.A top jerk. His own mother won the very first 4CCs. I still care about Ilia…but he’s Jerk of the Century.
Wth? You do know he needs the money for school and costumes and stuff? His sister is skating too, you really think his parents can afford to financially support both of them? He is literally WORKING for his money and you're here insulting him? He is doing every show that is aviable, for a reason.A top jerk. His own mother won the very first 4CCs. I still care about Ilia…but he’s Jerk of the Century.
what is your issue attacking a 19 yo for doing shows. everyone always complains ab how theres not artistry in skating and so when a top jumping skater wants to develop his artistry then you attack him as being a jerk. WTH is wrong with youA top jerk. His own mother won the very first 4CCs. I still care about Ilia…but he’s Jerk of the Century.
Didn’t you post the same thing last year? It’s still the same nonsense in 2024.A top jerk. His own mother won the very first 4CCs. I still care about Ilia…but he’s Jerk of the Century.
Didn’t you post the same thing last year? It’s still the same nonsense in 2024.
I’m sure his mom is just fine with his Post-Nationals plans.
Well, at least they felt fine about both having won the sr GP finals, in this photo:Didn’t you post the same thing last year? It’s still the same nonsense in 2024.

There is that, plus the fact that Hauer/Starr would easily knocked Bland/Sperry off the Top 5 Calculated Data list had they not been injured this fall - and they probably would have qualified for the JGPF (and knocked PedChen from it since both teams were initially assigned to JGP Istanbul).I agree. They have skipped teams before in favor of those with stronger international results. Why else would Hauer/Starr be sent to a jr B?
If you're going to attack anyone over this, you should be aiming at USFS for scheduling Nationals so late.A top jerk. His own mother won the very first 4CCs. I still care about Ilia…but he’s Jerk of the Century.
Hauer/Starr won the ice dance final, so I'm sure the expectation was that they'd be going to junior worlds and Egna was meant to be a warm up and a way to build back their international reputation after missing the JGP.I agree. They have skipped teams before in favor of those with stronger international results. Why else would Hauer/Starr be sent to a jr B?
The timing of US Nationals wouldn't have made a difference. The scheduling of Art on Ice is why Malinin is not competing at Four Continents. If you're going to attack anyone over this, you should be aiming at USFS for scheduling Nationals so late.
…or the ISU-Ari Zakarian “business” for scheduling Art on Ice and the cheesy awards at the time of its own Four Continents competition. If you're going to attack anyone over this, you should be aiming at USFS for scheduling Nationals so late.
Agreed! While I think that I can see all three of these pairs growing competitively WITH TIME, EFFORT, and PATIENCE, I gravitated most towards Carpenter & Maravilla for whatever reason. I'd grant that Zheng & Deng have the speed and ice coverage.; it's a real shame CarMar aren't being sent to Bavarian Open along with ZhengDeng and ParkGrif.
I can't see Cooke/Kennedy getting even any minor senior Bs unless they massively upgrade their tech content. They need a 3tw and at least one triple throw. There are too many current senior teams, plus Flores/Wang and Williams/Lewer who both might move up, who have far stronger tech to warrant any international assignments for CooKen.Shout out to Cooke & Kennedy, who from I can tell by their reactions, weren't expecting to medal here at all. I think they've aged out of JGP consideration, but I hope they revv up for the upcoming summer comps to perhaps land them some minor internationals next Fall.
Your thoughts...
I'll watch the replay again cuz I thought they were trying sbs 2Axels plus tried a sbs triple and triple throw.I can't see Cooke/Kennedy getting even any minor senior Bs unless they massively upgrade their tech content. Yes, but only the SBS 2a in the SP was clean. They had neg GOE on the SBS 3T and 2A in the FS and she fell on the throw 3s in the FS. And no 3tw. That's not enough for them to be considered for senior Bs when we have teams like McBeath/Parkman and Efimova/Mitrofanov who will be eligible next season, plus whichever of our teams don't wind up with 2 GPs (Martins/Bedard, the Mokhovs, etc).I'll watch the replay again cuz I thought they were trying sbs 2Axels plus tried a sbs triple and triple throw.
Thank you for the chart. I don’t understand why Hauer/Starr and Epps/Gilman don’t seem to have any assignments. Can someone please explain? And now Jr Ice Dance is complete!

Hauer/Starr had JGP assignments, but had to withdraw due to injury. Epps/Gilman had a very slow start to their season and finished below the teams who received assignments.Thank you for the chart. I don’t understand why Hauer/Starr and Epps/Gilman don’t seem to have any assignments. Can someone please explain?
Hauer/Starr were injured during the late summer/early fall and had to WD from both of their JGPs. Epps/Gilman weren't skating well in the summer compared to the rest of the very deep junior field and didn't wind up with any JGPs. Ilin/Cain, Cui/Eckert and Bland/Sperry were lucky that both Hauer/Starr and Carhart/Horovyi were injured and WD from their JGPs otherwise they would have been left out too.Thank you for the chart.
