To clarify: Today's TASS article does not mention Chen. Anything GOEs posted the TASS link on X (linked above) and wrote "She [Annabelle Morozov] is said to have formed a partnership with Jeffrey Chen."

Neither skater nor MIDA has announced the partnership to date.

Machine translated excerpt from the Russian article: "Earlier, a RIA Novosti source reported that the American side [USFS] sent a corresponding release [request] to the FFKKR. Morozov’s pairing with Russian Igor Eremenko broke up and now the figure skater is training in a duet with American Jeffrey Chen [per an unnamed source]."
According to Chinese Ice Dancer Linghao He‘s SNS, Anton Spiridonov and Vanessa Pham are both at IAM now.

DL just mentioned in the TSL GP Assignments review the following -

1) Michael Parsons had knee surgery which is the reason for their later GP assignments
2) CarPon are skating to Carmen - which... I have thoughts and my first reaction is concern over such a warhorse music selection.

IDC's New Team Series: Amy Cui & Jonathan Rogers (June 9, 2024):
Kaitlin Hawayek is doing makeup consultations with skaters. She did one with Emily Bratti to come up with her look for the FD this season.

New team of Hana Maria Aboian/Daniil Veselukhin had another strong showing at Chesapeake Open and actually beat the Mullens in the FD - seems like they're an early contender for at least one JGP assignment. There should be a lot of JGP spots up for grabs - the Peals, Mullens and Ilin/Cain are the only locks for 2 spots, but Aboian/Veselukhin could easily grab two if they continue to score well next month (presuming they'll be at Dallas Classic and/or Lake Placid).

New team of Hana Maria Aboian/Daniil Veselukhin had a strong debut at Chesapeake Open ...

Aboian/Veselukhin debuted two weeks ago at Paradise Classic, where their FD score was almost as high as their Chesapeake FD score. (RD not consistent yet, but the season is young. Seven Ys at Paradise, versus two at Chesapeake.)

Klara Kowar/Thomas Schwappach :) are on entry list for Broadmoor next week, but no juniors.

Updated my post!

It will be interesting to see if some of the Novice teams from Nats make the move up to juniors. The JGP field really is wide open for teams like Robertson/Cornwell and Houevi/Yomawoo to nab at least one JGP assignment.

I usually try not to speculate, but Anaelle Kouevi/Yann Homawoo were in an Instavideo of the curtain call for the recent Diversify Ice fundraiser. It crossed my mind that the bright colors and style (bell-bottomed catsuit for her) of their costumes perhaps were chosen for a Junior RD?? 🤔

Chesapeake results seem to be a good start for Deych/Hu in Junior.

Did I miss an announcement of who’s competing at Lake Placid (other than the Briwns)? Seems strange they would keep the list secret so late.

LPIDI almost never publishes the entry lists ahead of time.

Having said that, the Peals are definitely competing there - they've posted on their IG about being excited to debut their costumes next week.

Tkachenko/Kiliakov will be there too; same with Harlow Stanley and her new partner representing Mexico.

Scott has been in Quebec this weekend with Veillon/Brandys for the NextGen competition, so probably Car/Pon are heading to Montreal for their usual bit of summer training time there. But it would be very fun for it to be a different trip entirely.

I also raised my eyebrows at Daniel Klaber's name on the entry list. Major 2010s throwback!
