For anybody who used to watch Grey's Anatomy when it was good (I keep DVRing it out of habit and catching earlier season reruns on Lifetime), they will be saying good-bye to Alex Karev Thursday night. Justin Chambers left the show already. We don't yet know what happened to Alex when he left town. I hope this is the last year for the show.

It's not brand new but I can't see that it's been discussed: Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories on Netflix. It's about a quiet little bar-cafe in the heart of bustling modern Tokyo -- the wise owner/chef and his customers' stories. Each show has one dish as a focus and at the end a couple tips on preparing it are shared. It's deeply charming. There are two seasons on Netflix, the last one in 2019. Not sure if it will continue or not. It's run for more than that in Japan but for some reason they just distributed the two internationally.

Almost Family cancelled because of rape allegation against star Timothy Hutton.

Not the best show, but it was amusing and developing a nice ensemble and finding its groove. Too bad for the rest of the cast. Renewal was iffy anyway. His character could have been written out easily. To me the story of the 3 newly found sisters forging their relationship was nice, along with an occasional other sibling.

Also read that Hawaii Five O has not been renewed and last episode is in April, I think.
fun show, not always the best writing/quality, but it was a nice pretty thing to watch - scenery and cast.

:wuzrobbed :wuzrobbed I’ve really enjoyed it over the years, though sometimes I’ve had to fast forward through some extreme violence. And I’ve loved Eddie the dog and the story lines around him.

I had such high hopes when this show started. I absolutely loved the scenery but unfortunately disliked Alex O'Laughlin playing the lead - I never found his character in the least sympathetic or even convincing. I could always see him acting the part rather than being it. His buddy relationship with Scott Caan was so forced and wooden. The crime stories also were really pretty ho-hum. The only good thing about it besides the scenery was the acting of Grace Park and Daniel Dae Kim so this show has been over for me for a long long time.

Yeah, I watched the original and was born in Hawaii so thought it would be campy fun. It was campy but it wasn't fun.

American Idol is still in pre-recorded rounds for another few weeks, but I wonder what they are going to do when the Live rounds start, I think in late April? I know we don't see Hollywood week 'live', but has that round already been recorded? Those kids already typically drop like flies in Hollywood week via exhaustion and illness.

What is ID Channel? My first thought is Ice Dance. Does Fusar Poli teach you how to kill somebody with a stare?

  OMG! This made my day!!!! but she totally could.

But its Investigation Discovery Channel. They show true crime stories, like Dateline or 20/20 type shows where a crime happened (mostly murders) and the story of how it happened and how they solved it. True crime type stuff. Some shows are typical Dateline-ish where its a factual presentation of the case. Some shows are full reinactments (almost like a drama show) that tell the story.

Saw Amazing Stories and the first episode was not very good. Hopefully the rest will be better.

Wow, people may have to resort to reading.
I was thinking about this at the library. Even if you don't watch t.v., think about all the peripheral people who will not get a paycheck if they are not working on the t.v. show.

There are still new episodes of most of these shows that will air in the next few weeks (they've already filmed stuff for those eps) but I bet a lot of season finales will end up being episode 20/23 instead of the actual last show of the season because of the cancelled filming ending things so early. This is such a weird time for the world and I'm honestly having trouble processing everything. Anyone else's head still kind of spinning from this entire week?!

Yeah we've spent the last three years waking up every morning wondering what bad news we were going to hear. And now the state of the world is totally unthinkable.
