Men first impressions

Gummenik- all grown up and fluid in movement. I like it.
Mozalev- maybe too serious for him. Look like's hes trying too much but I like it too.
Danielian - Awesome program, jumps were not there. Dont cry kid and share some how to stay so thin tips.
Samarin - LOL at him skating in the babies group. Of course he's skating to the Matrix so he could look even more robotic. When even Barton makes fun of your dullness, well... :shuffle:

I started making a calendar of upcoming events and gave up by the time I'd filled three legal sheets of paper. There's between 3-6 events every weekend. :yikes: Most, like the Victor Petrenko Cup, probably won't have a live feed, but who knows.

I decided it was just easier to bookmark the ISU page and check each week for what I wanted to watch. And that doesn't include the Russian Cup events which will likely have a live feed.

Men Group 2

Baba Yaga - Awesome costumem and he finally doesnt have permanent babyface. Headcase showing as usual sadly. Artistically on a league of hiw own here.
Semenenko - He looks like your generic barely legal slavic boy @Jeschke would drool for, so why not mucth talk about him? Is it because he skates for the wrong/rival camp? I love his attack and confidence.
Makar - Exccellent music choice but it fell flat in the end. Is true what you say about losing the baby fat. Now I can finally see some appeal.
Outofnowhere kid - How this little gem stayed hiddem from skating fandom all these years is a mistery. Awful costume aside the joy for skating is palpable in every move. Im a fan.
SoldierBoy - best shirt ever!! whys is he not going to NHT again? Looks decent enough to secure the spot which is all that matters. Mesmerizing program - Pilgrims on a lognn journey. Is this about him and Fedickina? Are they still mating?

Gotta love Trankov trying to take some answers of the stamina boys while they're dying out of breath. Kolyada giving no f´++ks about his questions. King!!

You can count on the Golden Bear of Zagreb stream, the one where it looks like there is fog in the whole arena.

Pairs Sp Impressions:

1st group. Glossed over them while doing some comic reading. Not sorry
Boikova & Koslovski: Swan Lake, really?? It was very good but you need to be extra extraordinary to pull it off at this point.
Shameless Champions: Not sure about keeping the program but hey is still an amazing program and they sell it 100% He's a diva.
T&M: WOW, that was a captivating beauty of a program. Love the music, the costumes. They deserve an oly medal so much. Will they solve their mental problems?

Ladies SP

Maia - She takes advantage of her beyond her years mature look to really sell the sexy number. Nice confidence. Loved it.
Nugu - Everytime I see her I think to myself "She's very popular in TTW, let's see" and after she finishes Im"is that all??? Oook whatever".
Usacheva - That's one of the few adult contemporary songs I enjoy. I agree with the irony ... Nice and all but will this be enough??
Sofia - Sad to see her like this. Looks so defeated out there. This is probably her last season on the elite so enjoy it .
Sinitsina - Really smooth and into the program. Delicate. She needs to become and export product.
Zarina Anna - Generic and frankly booring. Olympic program this aint.
Fallen Angel - Way too nervous. Not sure if the sultry approach fits her. Kromish sells it better. Is a shame she's my fave of the 3A but the uphill battle is obvious.
Dracaris - I love how she just doesnt want to be swallowed in the sea of cookie cutter The Gauz programs. Fierce. I can see her staying ala Tuk.
Empress - Damnn, best program she's had since her golden 2015 season. So refreshing to see a russian Kostner.
Valieva - gauntlet is thrown. Oly glory is hers to lose. The program isnt all that but there's something about her approach that keeps you captivated.

What an imputation! :drama:
Actually I like Semenenko a lot, the program just didn't get me so much. So I save my drooling for the FS.

Overall it's...
1) great your back
2) frightening how in sync we are from skating down to naryzhnyy.

Lol is there a key and legend somewhere. I can't remember half the nicknames for people anymore except for cave-in, Bunny girl and lil sis 2.0

I know.... can't remember the last time I lovedtheir programs T/M and their costumes are great. Although this music is so over used.

Do you credit Eteri for their good performances so far this year?

They do. But they'vr got 10 different people working with them. Tutberidze is giving the orders. She's got 3 pair specialists, her usual jump specialist, Dani G for choreography with input from Zhulen, and assorted trainers. If Tar/Mor medal at the OG, Eteri will become the next elite pair training center. And she will be selective in who she takes just as she is with singles skaters.

Oh wow, that's exciting. I hope the USA steps up with something similar besides Colorado Springs

Maybe LA/orange county will be the place

So is Gummenik on the team? :shuffle:
Has he had a senior international yet?

I actually think Petr deserves a chance to finish adjusting to his height increase before he gets the honour of being labelled a trainwreck, but that LP today definitely warrants inclusion in several year-end lists.

Gummenik went to 2019 Warsaw Cup, and he medaled at COR last year.

Petr's program today is definitely in contention of POTS, but I agree, give him some time, he's grown a lot. He totally could have used his wings today.

I wasn't awake enough to realize that Tiff/Jon were doing an RD (I had overslept and missed it yesterday). No wonder it flew by.

Petr Gumennik Competitive Highlights

He has finished first and second in his two Senior international competitions thus far. His overall competition record does not indicate more messy performances than great ones. This was an unscored test skate, not a competition. And lastly, in and of itself, falling once or even several times in one program does not warrant membership. Please reread the Criteria. :COP:

Again, this was a test skate. Anyone can have a bad performance in an unscored event. If there's no score, there's no POTS. :COP:

Oy! The Press Office is going to be busy this season! ?

How on earth could Boss consider Litvintsev no longer worthy of the team? Boss drunk? (of course, I know)

FS Lombardia Trophy:
Rock

Rock (sort of)
Hair-o-graphy
Wtf music cut
Shake it loose
Wtf music cut 2.0
Rock
Some spinning

And so he fell from 1st to 4th.
:gallopin1

Add to this, the "O so secret free skate I won't reveal" appeared to be four pieces of music making no sense together, being cut by drunken tech guy. Maybe music no.2 and no.4 was the same. It was to gloomy, I couldn't tell. The first was "Smile", crooner style. Did Benoit do this program? In his sleep? Did Rozanov seriously think this was a good idea? I wouldn't be worry about Rach, but I'm sure I'm able to dig up some science or thesis saying this program in figure skating is bad luck.

How can it be more heartbreaking or trainwrecky? (ETA: after that fabulous, beautiful SP!!) And he wasn't even wearing tights.
