Russian FD impressions:

Greasy Man Nepotism : Much improved. I can see these 2 being major team contender for the next cycle.
Abachkina & Thauron : a bit too frantic and 4 seasons needs colour.
Sambo 70 Nepotism: Loved the first rotational lift. the rest was your generic Shpillband boredom.
S&A: She was channeling some Madi Hubbell. too bad he aint Donohue.
Khuda: Dunno. Felt too intense for the sake of it.
Jerk & His Girl: Please tell me this was just a pratice outfit and that he doesnt intend to contend for olympic gold in that. The program is tooo safe for them but if it aint broken dont fix it I guess.
Mum Kids : How much not having your program ready by Sep influences the official? Specially when RUS has a sad tendency of dropping their 3rd team/skaters.

Do Hard : Bagin. Too tall for my taste But I still would do him.

BTW, what was up with VIctoria's cough attack during the interview. Yikes.
 
Lemmings Long Program Impressions:

Gummenik - Geez, those falls were almost Pogorilaya level. I'll give him a pass cause the height growth is notorious.
Greatest Boreman - chosing Empress Aliona music so soon and with half assed choreo and extentions!! A criminal.
Danielian - Scheherezade is going to be the "i have heard way too much" of this season isnt it?
Mozalev - This reminded me of a young Joubert in the first years I started watching FS and now Im feeling too old.
Semenenko - Barton totally jinxed him with the costume change. Great choice for him.
Baba Yaga - Why oh why not keeping his masterpiece. This schindler list is good but if there's any program that deserves to be kept was last seasons. He's reaching Verner levels. One jump brilliant, the other disaster.
Outofowhere Kid - A bit dissapointing comparing to his other programs but this is a passionate christ.
NonBabyFat- The new russian national anthem screams for squeaky clean performances and this guy never has the stamina for it.
SoldierBoy - Aliev by the numbers... The hairline is receding so fast that he needs to seriously think about new haircuts.

Do Hard - ONe huge stamina boys orgy leaving Samarin as a scrap for Boss.

Pairs Impressions :

Pink and Blue Team - Cant remember already
2nd team - cant remember neither
Blue Aladinn Team - I simply skipped it before falling asleep.
Boikova & Kozlovski - He's alwayss so well dressed. The nerves are still there. Come on! you are still young, skate like there's nothing to lose damnit.
Shameless champions - A camouflage of last seasons hit, which I guess is wise. Still the leaders on the Olympic race.
T&M - sighs All that people in the boards for this team for nothing...

Do Hard - Galiamov by lack of contention.

Usacheva : Shallow comment warning .. she's no the most oustandishly pretty girl of the pack so she needs better packaging. Be a peacock!!
Sinitsina : Now, this is an awesome costume. Im afraid she's one of those "everything but jumps" skaters, which in these days means she lacks 80% of what's needed.
Nugu: Agist comment warninig ... she looks too adult to play the Little Mermaid role. I aprreciat the nostalgia trip with Part of this World though.
Sofia the last: Ok, this exceeded all my needs of Disney music for a whole decade.
Maia: She wants it way too much, which is good cause it means she may last longer than the average RUS girl.
Fallen Angel: watching her skills is a joy, I hope this is a good confidence boost for her.
Zarina Anna : the advantage of not being the one most talked about. She just delivers.
Empres: :eek::eek::eek: Holy costume I almost came! La Tuk takes sensuality on ice to a whole other zen dimension.
Valieva : Is an OK program to fight for gold but get rid of that costume.
Dracaris: I take back what I said of Kamila in the SP. Sasha can take it all quadrupling from side to side of the rink with the grace of a tennis ball, Plushenko Torino style.

Do Hard - La Tuk for one thousand and one nights.

That's great cause it broke the mood of the whole FD. As usual when the RD is an upbeat rhytm, the FD turns into a snoozefest.

well, I think heartbreak is the defining factor and someone who jumps ship to AZE and gets free pass for Universiade, Euros, WTC plus 3x more chances of olympics than all the stamina boys combined gets no heartbreak for me at all.

I will be rooting for him hard at NT though.

Sometimes I just think that for all those fluffy training videos, the job done at Rukavitcin camp sucks in that stamina department. Many should leave. I know that sounds like sacrilege around here but I dont care.
 
Tuktamysheva's Sandstorm 2.0 exceeded my expectations! ? More choreography than usual...let's hope most of it stays in the program. Inspired sexy posing. Amazing dress and hot looks. Am I just a fanboi or did she seem faster than last season's LP?
 
Overalll LadieS >>>Dance >>> Pairs>>> Men being again a frustrating let down. As for the NT spot, I'll be nice with Boss for once and send Samarin to him.
 
I love Nugumanova's Little Mermaid music cuts but the choreography doesn't match the music, especially at the beginning. I was hoping for major Arial cosplay. Red hair and mermaid costume please!

Unfortunately the jumps were all badly under. Was she injured over the summer? I'm not expecting jump perfection in early September, but she should be further along than this.

Samodurova needs to go back to Burlesque or the Aliens program. Baaaaad program. I needed to watch Mikey Weiss' Mulan program afterwards to recover.

Um I kind of like Trusova's LP. :rofl: Great music choice, and it's not surprising at all this was her idea and not her teams. Requested improvements: costume change, black and white hair, and definitely more face during the footwork. I definitely prefer this to Valieva Bolero.

Oh god this disco pair is awesome. ? (Can you tell I'm randomly skipping around the video?) This was like the lost Leonova disco program we never got: music, costumes, and choreography all totally on point. Klimov definite do hard.

Boikova's Malaguena is a total WTF. Costumes are bad. This version of Malaguena sounded dated in 1995 when Butyrskaya used it. The overall program is dowdy and old-fashioned, like something you'd see from the #3 Canadian pair in the late 90s. :scream: Sorry to be so negative but they are way better than this material.

Mishina/Galiamov's LP is essentially their Queen program set to Snowstorm? Not horrible, but not anything great at this point. Could be better with some tweaking. This feels like it has Olympic bronze written all over it. Minchuk looks hot as hell in his brown moto jacket.

T/M. I still prefer the Candyman era.

Sasha used to dress Tina the Chihuahua to match her dress. Now she's dying her hair to match the new dog, so maybe her parents will get her a black and white puppy to match her program

We shall see, just happy they are as ready as they are given their circumstances. (y)
They have been through some rough times with injuries in recent years, so have plenty of experience to draw on to pull the programs together very quickly. ?
They have 2 good programs, they should be fine!
The Olympic season is always a very long season, it is too early to judge anything in September!;)

Yes from me as well, he needs recognition for getting up and fighting on, he didn’t let that choreo go even after the last splat really hurt!

I get it. But to me it's the opposite. When a skater with so many qualities, who moves so beautifully, like a dancer, can't put it together, or doesn't have the quad arsenal of stamina boys or other non-dancers to stay in Russia, that's for me total heartbreak. I'll be so devastated after NHT if he doesn't make it to OG. And him and Rozanov makes up one hell of a pretty combo.
