I love Tomono, he's great and fun and charming, and he's carrying on good Japanese Riverdance traditions from Rika H., but he didn't skate very well at nationals no one did, except maybe Uno, so you cannot blame the fed for going with the podium. Tomono got 4CC, didn't he?

Btw one of the other Japanese guys in the final group of the FS did R&J...by Tchaikovski!!! I became an instant fan!

Paniot did not skate nationals due to minor injury, I did not expect them to chose Shmurtako though.
N/N lost the SD and withdrew afterwards.

Well then, I don't see Why not. Shmuratko has the best SB score so it wasn't like Paniot could afford skipping nationals . Specially after having like 4 epic metldowns in a row.

Bummed for N&N, I loved them. But Nikitin seemed so over her the past 2 years.

And my Larkyn had Q&A on IG. She is fully healed and ready for the rest of the season, of course she hopes to go to Japan. She landed her first triple, a salchow, at age 12, but didn't land the lutz until she was 18. Love a (relatively) late bloomer. (Andrade learned the lutz at 28 or something, so there's hope for us all). I of course took the opportunity to compliment her hair while I was asking questions.

And I don't care what happened last year. This year she'll make it to worlds, and on to the FS. I demand it!

Maybe she Had the common sense of not bothering with elite competitive skating anymore given her potential?. I know that's really hard for most TTW fans to accept but not every skaters is a Perkova grandma
