Not the best day for our team and associate members. Emmi did well though...:sekret:

UKR. What the hell is she wearing? The pants? 🆘 @Hanna , do something!
NON! :drama: I love it. :P

What an overall shit event.
Awww. I know it didn't go very well for your favorites :( but overall I thought this was a relatively high standard Euro ladies competition. I mean, never mind the podium, but there was so many great skates from a lot of skaters. Kiibus was fab, Paganini and Kurakova too. Also Peltonen, Meite, Ryabova and Mazzara did really well for their standards. :)

Holy moly I just watched USA Pairs final, we are back in business y’all.

As soon as @Jeschke wakes and recovers I would love a very detailed recap please. And your favorites C&J almost won the whole thing. With a whopper of a score.

Strange, even though it has not been announced yet I don’t think we will be seeing any more C-G & L or D & F this season.

And C-G & L got those two spots for worlds. I don’t even think they will be going to 4 CC to compete for a world spot.

Nationals really is the most pressuresome event of the year!

Btw why in world are D&F not ticketholders for the TTW Express but P&Y are?

Nonono @rfisher 🆘
Don't go that route. You have been there (with others) many times before.
You know it's a one-way-road towards a cliff!
Jump off as, as long you still can!

@rfisher this is you:

🐍 was on fire tonight. I'm surprised the ice didn't melt

Best part of this crazy skating weekend so far for me.

NON! :drama: I love it. :p
Of course you do!

Hm, the event seemed pretty messy to me. But yeah, fever, Schott and Grm might have put me on piss mode pretty soon :D

I only watched K/O's C/J in real time. Still fee shitty so ffw through the rest. So can't say much. I loved knc reactions by Alexa and Johnson. Priceless. Not sure I like winning Knierims due to the overscored FS. C/J FS is kinda blah compared to SP. Really happy for redemption by K/O'S. I really like the way she is connecting to the audience. Wished we could have a D/F video! (any chance @Braulio ? I sound so greedy 🆘 ); CG/LD lost me a while ago.
And your favorites C&J almost won the whole thing. With a whopper of a score.
They are not my fav's. No clue why you might think this.
Btw why in world are D&F not ticketholders for the TTW Express but P&Y are?
These are 2 totally different league. She is a Denney still and being hot does not do the job alone for him.
(And actually these 2 are my US fav's with K/OS)

Seriously, I have no clue what US fed will do.
I really think D/F deserve a 4CC ticket due to their GP season but I really don't want K/OS to be left at home.
This is really tricky and I can't wait for the drama :watch:

🇺🇸 Dance.
Happy for 🐍 but stumble in RD and FD, well, I don't approve the gap.
Love the costume, love the dynamic of the FD, especially how it builds towards the mid-part-rotational lift.

H/D. This was the best they skated all season, so sharp and spot on. Hunter position is obviously better for them. So watch out.

H/B. Bring the old dark costume back and the dark tights. Away with this flowery thing!

Or it could also be that my expectations for Euro ladies are pathetically low and easily exceeded.

Speaking of events, how's your Junior Worlds planning going? :saint:

And missing the TES by messing up the axels:wall:
Is there another competition for her to get them?
Yes, they have to get the mins by 21 days before the start of Worlds, or by the weekend of Feb 22-23. If Feds didn't hedge their bets by entering skaters who might need the minimums by the entry deadlines, then they might have to bring some :bribe:/:nopryde: to the organizers' tables. If either happened/happens, it's a no-brainer for the Feds who let their skaters request internationals and pay for things themselves, and it's intra-Europe travel.

Between now and Feb 22-23 for senior singles:
  • Dragon Trophy, Llubjana, next weekend (deadline Jan 5)
  • Bavarian Open, Oberstdorf, Feb 4-9 (deadline Jan 10)
  • Nordic Open, Stavanger, Feb 6-9 (deadline Jan 8)
  • Sofia Trophy, Sofia, Feb 12-18 (deadline Jan 24) -- Euro Ladies SP results were known by Jan 24 :saint:
  • Tallink Hotels Cup, Tallinn, Feb 13-16 (deadline Jan 10)
  • Jegvirag Cup, Miskolc, Feb 14-16 (deadline Jan 17)
  • Challenge Cup, Den Haag, Feb 20-23 (deadlines: # entries-Dec 15; entry names-Jan 15)
Plus 4C's, N/A for Grm.

So, Peltonen had:
  • 4th highest PCS and 5th highest TES in her SP -- PCS was a squeaker with Paganini, 4th highest TES
  • 4th highest PCS and 13th highest TES in her FS -- Paganini's PCS were close, but Paganini had 5th highest TES

I usually don't pay much attention to the US Nats interviews, but this Gracie interview contained a point of interest for this thread....

Just listen...it's short! 🚂🚂🚂

Grm's on the Challenge Cup roster:
Don't let the ISU win, Dasa!

🇺🇸 Champs Men FS:
Chen. King.
Brown. Happy for @Laney and that's it.
Hiwatashi. Program makes no sense.
Zhou. Cloud Atlas. Worst music selection of a stunning soundtrack.
Krasnozhon.Went to the Master Class of Artistry by Vice the Great.
Torgashev. Hairdo of horror.
Pulkinen. Paniot. No footage :drama:

Team selection
Happily surprised for Chen and Glenn.

WTF about pairs! :mitchell:
If they were going with someone off podium it definitely should not have beend CG/LD based on the season but D/F. This sucks.

Farewell Anastasiya Galustyan!
Entry: Nov 25th, 2019
Exit: Jan 27th, 2020
Career highlights: Universiade 2019, 8th; CS POL 2014, 2nd, Santa Claus Cup 2019, 1st

From the little bean, over your memorable literal Anastasia-program, to the woman you are now. Even though the heartbreak was maybe missing for some of us, you combined a lot of #ttw qualities.
You gave us boobs - even so much, the dress bursted for Nebelhorn Olympic Qualifier FS. You gave us epic splats. You gave us freaky hair and make-up. And above all you gave us your legendary bitchface in knc.
In best #ttw fashion, you reached the FS at worlds 2017 and failed to catch the olympic spot though. At the qualifier half a year later, again, you were 1st in line who missed. After taking a break you were coming back and gave us all a glimpse of hope at Universiade 2019 with huge jups and such unusual knc behaviour.
This train is stopping here but we will still root for every damn carrot party you will put out there!
And please, please, check your Instagram. There are still 3 requests pending :drama:

Ցտեսություն!

Farewell Dmitri Aliev!
Entry: Sep 24th, 2016
Exit: Jan 27th, 2020
Career highlights: Euros 2020, 1st; Euros 2018, 2nd; Olympics 2018 7th

You clashed into the junior scene 2014 and immediately got our attention. In style you presented all your :gallopin1 potential already one season later. Leading junior worlds after the SP you managed to drop to 6th and leave gold and silver to our star members Samohin and Nadeau. Your first big win followed at JGPF 2016. In awesome style, with such honest tears and the amazing combo of Rukavicin and Glinka you won our hearts. After junior worlds silver the same season (dropping from 1st after the SP) you bursted into the senior scene and made it to the Olympics right away. Your little-soldier-program was such a perfect fit for your musicality and movements. The season after was a hard thing to swallow and we were suffering alongside. Thus we were even more happy realizing you fought your inner demons and came back strong this season. There is no better way to exit the train like you did at Euros this weekend. With such a stellar skate, Rukavicin at your side and such emotional moments after the skate.
Dima, you grew up in front of us. We made it through ups and downs together. We lost Rukavicin's hair together. You were part of the 1st real #lovebird couple and those cupcake years warmed our hearts. The same your bromance with the :gallopin1 -trio-deluxe did! You never disappointed us with your stamina or throwing some random trainwreck spin or steps splat into your performance. But apart from that your skating just stood out. The edges, your arms and musicality.
Dima, thanks for this awesome :gallopin1 ride until now. We could not be happier for you and will cheer alongside all the years to come.
Our boy. Always.

До свидания!
