1) Skater needs a complete package to potentially be a top skater at Euros/4CC's/Worlds/Olympic level
2) Skater needs to have the ability to absolutely rock one day and splat the day after. Even better: rock and splat during one program
3) Skater is not afraid of breaking one's heart over and over again
4) Skater needs more splat/messy performances than great ones
5)

When you a skater & have been watching them for years. Then read glowing effervescent reviews about this skater from fans whom you are pretty sure have not been watching said skater as closely as you have over the past several seasons because they seem totally certain said skater will/would be fantastic under high pressure Worlds scenario and you are meanwhile thinking, Nope. Will/would probably bomb. But someday . . .

Yikes. No heartbreak with her.
I felt with her though for that FS performance. So she made POTS-shortlist. But POTS is kinda competitive this season, so unsure she makes it in the Final Top10.

How could anyone find this thread difficult to keep up with?

Summary version: Galustyan was on the team beacause I wanted her on (and really no one else, to be honest). When Glenn skated one of the best women's short programs in recent memory at US Nationals, then fell apart in the long program, it was clear she deserved a proper place on the team. So I offered to trade.

I'm still posting all Galustyan-related content in this thread, however.

She's competing junior at the Bavarian Open next week, where her main competition are probably Kaiya Ruiter and Maya Gorodnitsky.
