Some news all of us had been waiting for

Alena Leonova plans to continue skating if her health allows her. Her season is finished, she won’t take part at Russian Cup Final since she didn’t do any Russian Cup events last fall. She had a knee injury, it’s healed now but she doesn’t now how it will be in the future.

The world TES is 51, right? If so, Daša missed it with 0.23

Yes, and yes, for at least the second time by a hair: her current highest counting FS TES is 50.88, from 2018-19 Golden Spin.

I don't know if she's signed up for any other internationals before Challenge Cup, but the pressure is even higher now for her to regain the minimums, which she had met until the changes on 8 Jan 2020.

Apparently, Lina Fedorova (ex pairs skater who didn’t manage to get a triple jump ) is now dancing on professional level (?) and gave a master class in St Petersburg today.

ETA: Her boyfriend's insta stories has a picture of her on the podium with the caption "just pissed off a little bit " which makes me hopeful she's in a fighting mood the rest of the season.

Yesterday I saw a clip of Boyang falling on 4A in practice on twitter (but can't find it now). To me, it looked between < and <<. While searching for it today, I found plenty of dramatic Fanyus pissed that Jin dares to attempt 4A and steal Hanyu's dream.

Now I'm really rooting for Boyang to attempt and land a ratified 4A this week.

I wished for that at Nationals, and I got half my wish. We make progress . . .

• Romsky as the top Canadian man and getting the Worlds spot - I actually like all of them (Roman the most), so more so that we get a nice clear decision and its not a mess
• Good skate for Jun (+KOR ladies) at home
• Emily Bausback gets her Worlds SP minimum (she had it before the change) so she can go to Worlds
• (mostly) clean Wakaba
• Medal for MT/M + good skates for the other Canadian pairs (hopefully I/B for worlds but I like them all)
• Psquared silver and good placement for LaLa in dance
• Snake lady as US #1 again

Russian Junior Nats

• Mozalev winning or at least making JW
• Good skates/placement for Kutovoy (his skating/movement is so incredible , even more than Samsonov imo)
• Sinitsyna and Usacheva for JW
• Good drama for pairs (lots of clean skates please)
