He was succesfull in junior years under Plushenko, then injured most of the time.

Last year he had 3 very hard entries in the MESS shortlist.
He is a trainwreck deluxe, und of course I a love him.

I saw on twitter that this program had received a costume/prop deduction and had been flagged by some judges for music and choreo violations. Which means I had to immediately watch it last night .

I do not have time & am too behind in watching skating to catch up in this thread; but I do believe Popova & Mozgov fulfilled the rock-one-day-and-splat-the-next requirement at Nepela. Video evidence of the latter is currently up on the Nepela Day 2 stream.

I'm just glad he didn't totally meltdown after the mistakes at the beginning and held it together for the rest of the program. Surely that's a sign of progress (my standards are low )
