Thank you for the info, laviemn. Hopefully they will be okay until the GPs.In the latest TSL video, Dave Lease said that they withdrew from Finlandia because they're still "getting over the effects of a concussion".

"Training in Montreal has been amazing thus far," Hawayek said. "We are so excited with the development we already feel happening. The camp has such an incredibly positive energy, which is easy to feed off of. It has been easy to adjust and feel at home in a new environment.
"The biggest change we've had to get use to is the coaching. The style is new and unique for us and we're excited to how it is currently pushing us." <snip> ...
"We are thrilled to be going back to NHK for a third time and it will be our fifth visit to Japan as a team," Baker said. "We love the country, the people and the events they run. France is a new one for us; it is the only one of the Grand Prix circuit we haven't competed in and we can't wait to experience France and that event for the first time."
Earnestly hoping it isn't serious. Concussions seem to have more lasting effects than we used to think.I'm glad that it seems not to be a very serious problem.
They won Four Continents last season. It's so satisfying to see them get their first win in the senior ranks!
Unfortunately, the videos of their FD performance are blocked also here in Latvia and in many other countries too, I imagine. They are blocked because of copyrights, and, if that happens, it's usually in more than one country.Does anyone have a link to their free dance? The two I found (Jackie Wong, YouTube) are blocked in the US.

Yay for Kaitlin and Jean-Luc. I predicted them for second, but I'm super pleased they won. Now it gets harder, they have a chance to make the GPF and definitively prove they belong with the top teams in the world.
Also the additional prize money from GPF is going to help them with the training costs in Montreal (ca. $80 000 per year, according to their GoFundMe) esp. considering they can't earn money by working in Canada like they did in USA. Good for them!Huge congrats to Kaitlin and Jean-Luc on making the GPF. I'm so excited for them to have this experience and hope they make the most of it.
