I agree, though wouldn’t be surprised if we see some partner changes, especially in Junior.
I agree. If they stay together I think they will move up. They have many nice elements but I do worry about the height and ability for them to get a triple twist so they may also go their separate ways. Its so hard to find good partnerships that have potential. I am interested to see what this team does.

Their twist was amazing as well as their lifts and transitions. They were undermarked in the short.
They have a beautiful twist...I hope she gets solid landings on the throws though. Maybe its because they are so big it looks like she struggles to hang on. I think this team with some time will be one of the best in the country.

I think there will be changes also...I am not sure who with who though but I think there are some mix and matches that would make some nice looking strong teams

Their throw in the short was really good. The long..not so good..IMO their lifts and some of R/W were the best of competition.

Guess it will be a while until we find out what will happen next season.
Looking forward to B/I if the rumors are true.
I like the look of Seniors, juniors have talent and need time but I really want to know what will happen with Patricia Andrew, that was a tough skate to watch.

B/B just don't have competitive experience yet so this event was just about getting out there and getting a spot on the national team. I found them really slow here but that was expected. He was visibly nervous but her face was a vision to watch. This will be a striking pair once fully cooked.

I'd like to see them assigned to a winter/spring B event just for the experience because a small injury on her part kept them from competing in the fall.

As for the throws, this has been the weak part of their skating. In their one early comp she was landing gingerly the way Isabelle used to. Not a good look. I'm told they recently changed something technical with their throws and she's now landing them consistently. Someone texted me from practices and said she didn't miss a throw in two sessions.

I would write off any shortcomings in this event to them learning to compete together. They will only get better.

Trying to improve my French. Hope this makes some kind of sense lol.:)

Yes they aged out along with C/O who placed first in junior.

My thoughts are, the Junior teams are young and need more time
Some have great potential but could do well with a partner change.
Good experience for the teams chosen for Worlds.

I’ll be clearer-meaning the whole junior field are younger for the most part and could use more time.

I believe he is too old for Juniors but she is now old enough for seniors. They have had injuries as well. I hope they will be sent to a senior B competition as their scores were not high enough to be named to the teams for 4CC and worlds.

What are the minimum scores? Do they have to obtain them in an international competition?

All ISU championships---Worlds, Europeans/4CC and jr worlds come with min technical scores in order to compete.

For Worlds and Europeans/4CC, you obtain the min scores at senior ISU B internationals or Grand Prix events.
For Jr worlds, you obtain them on the junior grand prix or ISU sanctioned junior events.

You can not mix the jr/sr scores so that's why Conrad Orzel couldn't be named to the Canadian Four Continents team as he has never competed in a senior event.

I am sitting quiet here as I don't know if she is done growing. Was so sad to lose Jamie Knoblock and now Marine Pouliot. Marine P. performance quality and body lines were amazing.
I just saw Marine Pouliot on IPS looking for a Ice Dance Partner. I think she also withdraw from single skating but can't confirm that.

That was A1! Good job!

Now back onto the topic... There is certainly confusion as Matte/Ferland are not going tp junior Worlds. I wonder where the poster got her info...

Thierry Ferland is still age eligible but not Lori-Ann Matte. She's younger than Ferland but girl's age limit is lower.

I thinks @couple novice may be speaking about the Men choice who both skated SR as well as the ladies pick. These skaters all skating international at the SR level and had higher placement than those who were still competing in JR.

You mean nationally. None of the JW entrants have competed senior internationally.

Merci.
