PML as The Mandalorian listed as a Space Western instead of a Science Fiction. Is that a category now after Firefly? As much as I enjoy The Mandalorian, Firefly still wins as best Space Western of all time.
Maybe they started referring to this as a category once West World hit it big? Anyway there is also Wynonna Earp. (From imdb - "Following Wyatt Earp's great great-granddaughter as she battles demons and other creatures. With her unique abilities and a posse of dysfunctional allies, she's the only thing that can bring the paranormal to justice. ")

Not t.v., but I don't know where to put it -

We talked about this book 4 years ago. The movie was filmed in Middletown. I hadn't heard a thing about it on the local news. Maybe it will come to cable next.

Gonna be a great week for me starting tonight! Glad that I get to start watching NCIS:LA live now after my summer binge and I cannot WAIT for CPD to be back! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

This Is Us and The Goldbergs are also new again this week so this might be the first week since early April where I've had several new eps of my shows to look forward to and it almost feels....well, normal, LOL :D

A new version of Walker Texas Ranger is coming!
Interesting casting choice. I'm a little surprised Jared signed on for a new TV show so soon after wrapping 15 seasons of Supernatural. I'll have to check it out.

Early warning - I was looking to see if anything was going to be on on Thanksgiving. I noticed that that Gilmore Girls thing that was online will be on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m. - 2 hours each. On the channel it used to be on - WB? All I know is it's our Channel 26.

Big Sky .... did anyone watch or plan to watch? I'll put this in spoiler in case anyone has it DVR'd and hasn't watched it yet but ....

What the hell was that ending!!!! I thought Ryan Phillippe was supposed to be the lead star of this show! That is kinda what drew me to putting this show on my list. How he gonna be the star if he got his head blowed off on the first episode yet the whole show is about finding those missing girls, which clearly he won't be doing?

I had the exact same thought. I’m going to tune in next week to see how it goes, but I’m less interested now.....

re Big Sky, agree with above. I was hoping for a sort of Twin Peaks meets Blood and Oil (short lived drama a few years ago that I really enjoyed) but the script is soooo bad and the characters so one dimensional. I'll try it again next week but
Ryan Philippe was the major draw here, so if he's really dead then they're going to need a helluva second episode or it risks getting cancelled.

In another year this would be ripe for cancellation after a couple of episodes, but networks are short of fresh content right now so who knows. Pretty sure this was originally supposed to be on HBO.

ETA this article is full of spoilers if you want to know where this is going.

I deleted the spoilers above, so... I was not shocked at the ending because I read all these books. Cody Hoyt rescued the girls and their father and Justin in the book before The Highway, where this series started. The next three books are about Cassie's investigation. I didn't like the violence in them, but I kept reading them to see how it turned out. So, I know how the series "should" end. They won't need a second season. This might be like those short term things, with the stone faced female detective that just showed up at people's doors every five minutes! ha ha I've DVRd the series, but I don't know if I'll stick with it either.

Irritating - they mentioned the pan---ic a couple times, but nobody was wearing masks or social distancing.

I haven't watched the Connors regularly for at least a year but it is nice they are acknowledging the pand...ic and that they are showing the characters living through this. I may watch this season. I think Grey's Anatomy is dealing with the pa....mic too. Again I don't watch regularly but it makes it more interesting to see them dealing with our reality.

That was another thing about Big Sky - the pandemic was referenced several times, but there was zero indication that anyone was actually doing anything differently than they might have.

I've said I wished the medical shows would be an escape from what is going on, but they can't. Grey's was intense last week. Spoiler - which everybody knows already - Meredith Grey gets the c.v. They won't be able to have a fairy tale miraculous recovery in a week, like every other illness and disaster she gets herself into, considering what is happening to real people every day, will they?

ETA - Grey's - that was Dr. Hahn on Big Sky? Man, she looks old. C.J. Box - I would have rather seen a Joe Pickett book made into t.v.

Anybody still watching NCIS? I just got around to watching the season premiere last night. OMG, what the heck are they doing?

Gibbs shooting McGee? McGee in a car by himself trying to keep a plane from taking off? Fornell in a ponytail going batcrap crazy?
