New/Returning Shows for the week Sunday September 27/2020 - Saturday October 03/2020: https://www.cinemablend.com/televis...iere-schedule-list-of-new-and-returning-shows

Tuesday, September 29

WEAKEST LINK - NBC - 8 p.m. (Game Show)
My guide shows the first episode rerun on Wednesday and Saturday - "same bat time, same bat channel". You'd have to be a certain age to get that.

Anyway, I used to watch the old one. I don't like game shows that are hosted by celebrities/comics. It ends up being all about them and their jokes and insults.

I know we have one more Amazing Race coming since they had one ready to air and held it until the Fall. But will that be it then? I can't see how they could even attempt to do The Amazing Race again with all the travel restrictions and health concerns for at least the next 12-24 months. Will we ever see The Amazing Race again after this Fall? :wuzrobbed

I noticed on my DVR schedule -
New Finding Your Roots on PBS starts Tuesday, 10/13.
And it says new Amazing Race on Wednesday

Plus - The West Wing is on TNT (I just ran into it). Three episodes on Friday 9, 10 and 11, then rerun at 12, 1 and 2 on TNT-W. They started with the re-election campaign in 2002. Hm.

New reunion episode is on HBO - which I don't get.
Someone will need to tell me about it.
Apparently, HBOMAX is a streaming service that you have to pay for? Maybe it will be on regular cable later, although I don't have HBO or Cinemax either.

Anyway, it's a re-do of the first episode that was on at 9 a.m. today. I recorded the rerun at noon.

I said before they would never put The West Wing reruns on while trump was president, but that's why these are on now - get out the vote (except President Bartlett was re-elected!). Maybe they'll start showing them from the beginning again some day. My cousin bought me the first season on DVD years ago. I don't have a DVD player.

I think skatesindreams is confused why HBO of all places would be hosting the reunion episode when the original series aired on NBC.

Because that network was more interested enough in putting up the money and/or offering airtime than NBC/Universal was? NBCU certainly doesn't want to steal time away from those masterpieces "The Voice" or "The Masked Singer", after all.

The reruns are on TNT. They were the last time they showed the whole series too. (So was Knots Landing, back when I was home with my broken leg, and they were a CBS show.) The West Wing cast is on Stephen Colbert tonight - 11:30, which is on CBS.

I see what you’re saying, but most people associate production of a show with the original network in which it aired. Syndication is syndication, and any network or local broadcaster can buy rights to old episodes. I guess doing promotion on CBS makes sense since the original show was produced by Warner Bros. Which has a relationship with CBS. It has more of a relationship with Showtime than HBO, but Sorkin has a preexisting relationship with HBO with The Newsroom, and I guess NBC simply wasn’t part of the equation.

I actually teared up a little watching the trailer for the West Wing reunion. Time for a free HBO Max trial.

Interesting. I wasn't thrilled with the ending. Any gossip on the storyline?
I haven't seen anything about the storyline but know Michael Hall and original series executive producer Clyde Phillips are involved

There's a John Lennon special on 20/20 tonight at 9:00. I'm recording that and The Way I See It on MSNBC from 10-12.

I like Alan Tudyk but it's on SyFy so will probably be canceled. I have to wait for it to hit Hulu or Netflix anyway so I will be able to decide if it is worth watching after a few reviews.
