🇷🇺 Nationals Pairs FS

Boikova/Kozlovskii. I can't ignore the fact that the winning team had the worst program of all 12 teams (n)
Tarasova/Morozov. Different league than the rest to me. Old slutty costumes and old ending back! :mitchell:
Pavliuchenko/Khodykin. Literally on the skin of her teeth 💪 My guilty pleasure team :love:
Mishina/Galliamov. Great rebounce. Just not my cup of tea.
Panfilova/Rylov. His edgework in the lift, insane! They will win worlds someday with intentional doubles. I love them to death!
Kostiukovich/Ialin. Good lord, they really needed this! @rfisher :cheer: Awesome speed through the entire program! Welcome back!
Efimova/Korovin. There will come a day :drama:
Sobinina/Volodin. Forgettable but one of the best lift entrances I have ever seen :respec:

Kolesov/Ialin/Rylov/Pleshkov. Shoutout to the junior guys! Awesome presence! :rockstar:

Side note: Reading through pbp @Hanna might have gotten 30 alerts by me alone :rofl:

I think Daniil may have a dry sense of humor...

I was too scared to watch anything until the entire comp was over so now I have a lot of catching up to do!

Overall: First lady to skate: 202,96pts overall score :rofl: :respec:

Shcherbakova. 2 times nationals champ. Well deserved.
Kostornaia. I cannot gush enough. The axels and the flow outta them are/is insane.
Trusova. For a moment the fool in me thought the miracle might happen for LaTuk :drama:
Tuktamysheva. I cannot bow down deep enough for the fight she put out there. It turned out the way I expected with the quad unfortunately. #untilthebitterend
Sinitsyna. Nothing to discuss. My favourite junior lady by a mile. Awesome set of programs.
Guliakova. Competition of her life. Well done!
Samodurova. Well, the face to end says it all.
Gubanova. Very much dislike the program but love the way she performs it. #justice4nastia (worked for Nugu, so let's give it a try :D)
Konstantinova. Scores reaction broke my heart :( She was not ready to give up and fought through 💪 Best splat reaction. Bury this program, re-group and #missionphoenix next season. Always my girl!
Nugumanova. I just love everything about Nugu. The look, the classic approach, the arms, the lines! :swoon:
Talalaikina. This program is the best preview what Perkova could do to this music 🙏 Love the make up. Love the fist.

Not only once. I didn't want to pull a total dictator (after vice was not too impressed with my suggestion) and the train could decide not long ago. There were not enough 'pro' votes, so this chance is gone.

Mishin's female skaters have the worst timing I've ever seen, except for Radionova. Liza: No trip to Sochi. Best year: the year after the Sochi Olympics. Then Medvedeva hits seniors then Zagitova and Sotskova : Liza left out again along with Radionova and Pogo. Next best year: the year before the 3As hit seniors, then she gets pneumonia and gets knocked out of Europeans and Worlds again. I just don't see it happening in 2022. Samodurova's best year: year before the 3As hit seniors. This year: disaster. Now, if she can rally back after she finishes growing, we'll see, but the URs have killed her this year. I hope she doesn't repeat Liza's trajectory. Making the Olympic team is so much about timing.

It's likely one or even two of the 3As could get knocked out by Valieva who will go senior the Olympic year. Especially since she's going to add another quad or two and probably a 3A over the next two seasons.

The blood bath in ladies and in pairs for the three spots is just insane in Russia. And people wonder why they don't get to go to Europeans and Worlds for years like Kostner did.

Respectfully, boss, that doesn't take into account the fact that teams can improve! Back then, I'd agree that E/K hadn't shown enough potential to be truly heartbreaking.

This season, however, they've shown they CAN post scores above 70 in the short and 125 in the free, while still totally crashing out at other times! See: Nationals, where they were 4th after the short, when they skated clean, then 10th in the free when they did NOT.

I submit that they have developed their trainwreck qualities, and earned their ticket.
