Dance RD Groups 1 & 2 Recap

Swiss - Lovely program , wish it could be skated by better skilled team.
Estonians - Forgotten already. Was that Raand as a coach?
Brits - That program is fantastic. Makes you want to jump on the ice and dance with them.
Israelis - They were a nice surprise at Euros but today were flat.
Hungarians - He over emotes too much and she's too cold. Not a good match sadly.
Reed and Lithuanian - I applaud a full tango program and this kept the charachter all the way through with really nice attack. Congrats.
Italians #2 - Twizzle disaster. Boss must have borrowed a voodoo toothbrush from Mari. Poor guy. At least it means a chance for N/N
Finns - I ve seen them do this program fiercer before but still cant stop being amazed how far they have progressed.

Best Dressed - Seriously all of them except for EST and ISR. I love tango/flamenco costumes.

Dance RD Groups 3 & 4

Belarussians - That pattern was sloooow. Lovely stationary lift.
Japanese - She has diva quality and looked amazing. Still lots of room for improvement though.
Germans - Ehhh, this program bores me but good on Level 4 pattern. That's the key to survive the RD battle.
Ukranians - Yess!! They looked like they trained that pattern all day and night since last time I saw them . However they always look like about to break up in the middle of their K&C.
Australians: That is Brendan's younger sister? Never would have guessed. The less said about the skating the better and boy was she exhausted after that.
Spanish: Blehh. I love this team but this programas has been bird crap bladness all season long. No passion. I miss Smart Diaz brilliant RD.
Chinese: Awesome outfit on her. Quite empty choreo but they were fierce which makes more than half the job.
New Canadians : Woww in a league of their own in this group. Tha flew by.. and damn is he one true specimen.
French #2 : fun choreo but I still hate cell block tango.

Best Dressed : Wang and Komatsubara

Dance RD Groups 5 & 6 Recap

Jerk & Girl in love: That was awesome. The first truly real tango. The intricateness of the steps were bliss Magnificat.
Freak Folkers: Fantastic dress, love how they always take charachter portrayal to the next level. A bit wild though.
Polka Dots: I used them for fridge break, sorry not sorry.
Bitchface & Munchkin: I liked it but it seemed a little off. All well executed but no real chemistry. Should have been behind the new canadians.
The Tall & Beautiful: They don't excite me but I totally respect their style. Refined, restrained, elegant. Well done.
Piccolinos: Didnt she used to have a larger skirt? Still love the program but in a night full of great performances it didnt stand out.
Diva & Bodyguard: Finally they are acknowledging each other on the ice. That was what was missing from them long ago. The change of coaching centre has pulled off. Asassin Tango is a great choice for Chock, she's truly an Angelina.
Too old for Romeo & Juliet: After the other Madison, Hubbell doesnt strike as much of a femme fatale . The beginning of the end??
Puppy & Legs: That choreo has tons of nice memorabble moments. Perfect vehicle to hide they are not really the best dancers. Enjoy the small medal for now.
Echo & Narcissus: The program is nothing to write home about but wow they are the encarnation of flow, not a second of dubitation . Wonderful.

Russia vs Russia and I'd totally have DivaChock ahead of Hub/Don, but the point spread is so tight, who knows what will happen in the end. But today Nikita vs Zach: Point to Nikita. Maddie C vs Maddie H: Point to Maddie C. the woman is fierce. I forgot Wea/Po by the time they left the ice.

Most amazed just to be there: Puppy. Who can't love that look of "OMG, I can't believe I'm here."

Russian men are conceding their spots to the dance team, and well they should.

Groups 1-4

Brits - If only their actual skills were as gorgeous as the dress.
Lithuanians - Oh yes! I would have needed him with Izzy back in the days!
Finns - I almost enjoyed it! @Hanna This RD builds so well towards the end! I would have never seen that coming 3yrs ago.
Belarus - Shoutout to (the hot guy and) the awesome stationary lift which I must have missed all season.
Germans - The toothbrush did her magic! This was the best they skated all season. Congrats for making the cut! This was not a given!
Ukraine - So all they needed was to ditch the black skates. Still they don't look happy.
Spain - Felt tentative to me. But who cares? Awesome score, should bring them close to Top10. Who is this new minion @Ka3sha ? Where is the hitman?
Danada - Seems they left the days behind them. I already saw him on the ice with this strap hanging around his skate. Wheere is the referee here?

Group 5
Sinitsina/Katsalapov - This was really really good. Spot-on! So intense! #horrornails
Gilles/Poirier - To me this should be below Danada, of course that won't happen.
Kaliszek/Spodyriev - Sorry, but they are so wrong in this group
Hawayek/Baker - Not my cup of tea.
Weaver/Poje - Sorry, bute ID judging sucks. These GOE's on the twizzles. It's not fun watching that. Booh.

Group 6
Guignard/Fabbri - I am still pissed about W/P scoring. This should be above, that's for sure.
Chock/Bates - As much as I love a great comeback story, this looked more like hard work than easy flow today
Hubbell/Donohue - Not their best. Off-timing and not in sync in some parts + her twizzle wobbles, they should be pleased with the score for that.
Stepanova/Bukin - Totally love this march (just imagine the fun/drama of 2 RUS medals and no USA one )
Papadakis/Cizeron - They were really good, but the gap should never be that high, not in TES and not in PCS, sorry.

Conclusion:
- good judging besides some totally blah calls for W/P and K/S.
- @levineismine and @Ka3sha are stil alive.

Dance guys are too pretty for me. I prefer the balding pairs guys instead. And I have to admit I’m somewhat obsessed with Morozov’s arms after the pairs LP.

Yup. I totally remembered that dress and performance, too. That’s just when I was starting to get back into skating again. 8 years ago.

Pretty nice LP for Dasa today, I felt like she was having a real genuine moment during the footwork. It wasn’t perfect, but still a SB, and she’s going to match her best placement ever at Worlds, 18th, from four years ago. Not to mention her best ever total score. So I hoping she’s content with all that.

I think overall the dance guys and girls always look hotter than the average. For the ladies all the make up and freedom of hair helps and in the guys well compared to the singles they are hunkier and without overdoing it like the pair guys.

Ladies Final Groups 3 & 4 Recap

I skipped the first 2 groups because my bed missed me and honestly I only care for about 3 out of 12 ladies there.

Daleman - Decent comeback. Hope she sees her as a personal victory and hey 2 spots for CAN, not that they need them but still.
Tennell - Juliet on steroids... She went back to jump jump run run strategy. Of course judges didnt mind when it came to PCS. Laughable.
Schott - Sorry boss she lost me in middle of the program and started to check my social media instead.
Samodurova - Did they not count the 3F?? I thought the first jump was a lutz but I suck at calling pick jumps . Brave effot but she's not in Europe anymore. The 4CC ladies will eat her alive.
Miyahara - Wow Satoko being the fiercest I've ever seen. Amazing
Kihira - To think even with the big mistake shes almost unreachable. Deep inside I want her to lose so she can understand having an Ashley Wagner mindset of always playing catch up is not good.
Medvedeva - YAS!! That super intense fuuuck you haters face at the end is gonna go down as one of the top moments of the season. So happy for her. That said, I can see why Eteri kept her as a one style pony. She's not very versatile and all the styles Orser tried do not fit her.
Bell . Ive stayed away form all that stupid toxic madness of the clash and Im glad she apparently did the same.
Sidenote: Come on JPN, no scores shown?? you are supposed to be a high tech country and you've been failing at this all week long.
Lim: Suprised they insisted with this program till the end. She has star quality in every inch of her body but sassy chicago chick she ain't. At least 2KOR spot mission was accomplished.
Sakamoto: I think I gasped even louder than the audience when she popped the flip. That Program is a masterpiece and suits her like a glove. My personal fave tonight.
Zagitova: That Carmen was 4 minutes of full hard work but who cares!! Finally an olympic ladies champion stayed and conquered a world title. Congrats Alina.
Tursy: Im gonna risk sounding all corny and like an old lady but D10 on skating heaven should be proud and this is awesome for KAZ skating. And damn did Eteri just lose it and smiled???!!!! What a competition

JPN going 4-5-6 with no medal must sting but I cant say I disagree with the overall standings.

I'm feeling a little sorry for the Russian men right now. Pairs finish 2-3, Ladies 1-3, SP dance 2-3 and then the men.....Samarin and Kolyada might want to find an alternate flight home. At least Lazukin exceeded his expectations, not that there were any to start with so it was pretty easy. They're probably hoping Nikita will screw up so they won't be alone at the back of the plane.

And, I'm pretty sure all my skating creds are gone. Sorry, not sorry dance teams. You're on your own. Zag took yours for herself. Nathan, Shoma and Yuzu don't need any help from me.
