But Davydov is Russian. Born and raised and trained. Belrussian on paper only. He won his junior worlds medal for Russia But if being semi-Belrussian can save him from the curse, I'm ok with it

Zhulin pretty much looks the same as ever. I don't want to comment on this topic too much b/c I try to avoid commenting on people's appearances usually but I do more seriously wonder if this generation was hit hardest by the massive societal changes from the Soviet Union to Russia. I think it might be different for the current generation of skaters.

I just saw Fear/Gibson for the first time and that's probably my favorite FD in years. So good! And they were absolutely on fire.

Gutted for Z/G though. Rough FD.

Paniot-oh dear... But the flip was rotated and he looked relaxed enough in the KnC. Hope dies last.

Zhou - such hard work.
Our boy - I'm no fan of the running either, and of course it's Averbukh, but the rest of the program is beauty and I love him so much and he will be fine by Russian nationals and Euros, as he was last year and Perkova was (almost) clean in two programs and we both know both Rukavitain skaters couldn't be.
Rizzo - can't believe he medalled! So freakin happy for him!
Silver Fox - so happy for him to, but that wasn't a great skate (that program fails to catch me, I can't believe Denis did it...) silver and bronze medal says a lot about the level of this comp, Shoma crushed his competitors with like a zillion points.
Deniss V - I think @rfisher said it all. I tune in. Something must be done. Thy outfit was Stephane's wet dream to skate in, but he already retired, so he gave it to his protege.
Shoma - he moves like no other. I just love him. He makes everything interesting. Nothing more to say. He deserves every point he gets. I hope he starts winning something big this season. I bet he's tired of second

Wang - zzzzz so into her last year, so over her now. Had to mute her music, it was too much.
Hicks - bad ass combo. But then it kept going on and on
Sotskova - she was much more crisp before. Her jumps used to be fast and huge. Now...oh well...
Bell - love her! Commentator kept going on about the horrible sp, dissing Celine. Ok, you didn't find any highlights in that music. How come you're not critical about the Rihanna/Keesha/Someone else - porridge we were served from three other skaters. That was for sure dull, and had no highlights either
Lim - so talented!
Perkova - She slayed!!! Her expression is everything. And Zorro is always in my heart, boy Davydov and Abt skated to it. Abt in black tights (good thing it was twenty years ago )
Mai M. - love The Mission. Love her.
LaTuk- she's for sure queen of crossovers, but her jumps are beauty and I'm so proud of her for holding it together after Rika. #certainlystillhere
Tiny Sparrow Queen - that program is so exquisite. She couldn't have done more.
Rika K.- BAD ASS GIRL!!! And the program is so full of content, it just flows. Ladies means business at the moment!
