Dance SD impressions

Tweedale & Buckland: I actually agree with @Jeschke Other than him being pretty there was nothing there.
Manta & Johnson - Quite bland. at least they finally made it to a GP.
Nazarova & Nikitin - Painfully slow in the pattern and lift and this felt voidy just for the sake of it. And that chicago tango is no real tango.
Fear & Gibson - Ohh nice speed . Need to sell it a bit more but on the right track.
Muller & Dieck - another weird interpretation just for the sake of being "unique". Zero tango feeling Leave that to the FD but the short should be about nailing the prescribed rhythm and they didn't.
Kalizsek & Spodyriev - I love that guys arent afraid of showing some chest anymore. Program was ok but they were soo sloppy.
Zahorski & Guerreiro : YES! finally some good ol passion shown. I like the "casino dealer boy getting lucky with rich bond girl client" vibe.
Hubbell & Donohue - a bit uninspired specially after last season smoking hot programs. ANd holy eye bags on Zach. Between Madi all day and Olivia all night he probably never sleeps.
McNamara & Carpenter : Pretty solid. Lovely twizzles. If C&B dont recover on time they are my early pick for 3rd US world spot.
Guignard & Fabbri - I love how they always maintain full speed though the twizzles were wild. Please medal at euros!

Best dressed - G&F simple and classy

Laurine is trying to be Kori's twin, you can't tell their hair apart. But she's such a woman now. Her program reminded me sort of Diana Poth. Lauren's couldn't be more European if she tried. And that's the grandest compliment!

Lots of reasons for duct tape, especially for men. The tape can be layered around the upper back part of the boot, similar to strapping a sprained ankle - in order to provide more support for a skater. It also helps keep the upper boot tight enough to support landings of quads. Duct tape is also used to get swollen ankles in and out of boots preemptively by taping beforehand. If it was for Champ after his skate he might use it to tape the boot ankles after he takes them off to help keep the leather tight, or on his own feet while ice soaking.

My girl looked real real good at SA and I'm not ashamed. Those jumps are massively improved and significantly higher and more powerful then I've ever seen her jump. I know a lot of it has to do with her improved lifestyle but doesn't her technique even look different on those edge jumps? That can't happen over one off season, right? It's night and day. If she can add another 3-3 with bonus with the 2A-3-2 it's a new ballgame.

I'll admit, Wet Tree Stump surprised and kinda impressed me. The pc of that Romeo and Juliet were tremendously improved. She still has major back flexibility flaws that I don't know can be helped.

Someone needs to break a broom in half and glue it to Sakamoto's neck and shoulders in a cross shape for a month. It's like honga (not nearly as unfortunate though)... I just don't understand how they got past the age of 10 with that skating posture. I like her more this year, and I know there are a lot of Saka fans in here but she's not much more then a top 5-10 world's skater.

Honda is real pretty.

I was devastated at Lil Sis's withdrawl. I hope it was just a bruised ego and hurt feelings from the short than a pulled fallopian tube.

All the rest of the girls are throwaways so why bother.

The whole thread is based on celebrating skaters meltdowns or TTW moments. Which includes lightly dissing, being snarky, (as seen by the response to Angie's K/K statements. Though I totally back u on that. Lol) not so secretly sexually objectifing, and judging. The train is more Murder on the Orient Express then Polar Express, let's not fool ourselves.
