Golden Globes Red Carpet and Awards

The animation in Coco was outstanding, just didn't realize it was about the land of the undead when I took my grandchildren to it. Ferdinand was also good.

Coco was the only nominated film I saw this year, so it was my favorite. :D It really was very good, though.

I can see how some parents/grandparents might have to have some unexpected conversations after taking kids to see it.

Best supporting actress - Allison Janney _ I, Tonya.

Yes, Tonya is at the table.

I was hoping for Hong Chau or Laurie Metcalf, but this is a good speech.

Aside from her attempting to portray Tonya as the big victim here. Apparently the attack on Nancy doesn't count for anything anymore. And per People, Tonya is now getting in shape and skating again to get back in the spotlight. A spotlight she doesn't deserve.

Yeah, aside from that.

So, a person who assaulted a woman is invited to the event. At least she is wearing black, I suppose. Yeah, no need to watch the movie.

Which person is this? I'm sorry, I'm a bit out-of-touch.

I feel like Amy Sherman-Palladino tried to be winning or funny but she came off obnoxious.

I'm glad people love Oprah, but since I'm not one of them, this tribute isn't too interesting to me.

This Tonya Harding stuff is trashy. People don't need to keep burying the axe in her back almost 25 years later, but unless she's made groveling apologies to Nancy and done everything possible to make up for what she did, keep her off TV please. She's still a warning of who not to become.

Oprah, no Uma, no Oprah, no Uma, no OPRAH.

Ah, David Letterman, acid flashback!!!

Speaking of David Letterman, he has a new series starting on Netflix this coming week. His first interview is with Obama.

I like her, but don't love her. She is a cultural force, though, not just in the U.S., but around the world. And I thought her speech was both very good and very timely.

Is she running for office? She should. I wouldn't have agreed before November 2016, but here we are.
