Sooooo loved Liashenko! And later Lavrenchuk, Maniachenko and Danilchenko (not that he's a ladyyyyy). I've always had a soft spot for those Ukraines. But of course, Liashenko was legend. And she was robbed, over and over, especially 2004. Her Grieg-program was my favourite.

Ok, NHK FS, the men...

Silverfox owned that. From when he stepped onto the ice, through the program, when thanking the audience, until leaving the KnC. Now Menshov has left us I'm happy there's another grandpa, oldie but goldie, to show everyone how it's done. And that gorgeous program (that even initiated a mention of Smalun in the PBP-thread:respec:). His entrances into jumps and spins are so smooth and easy.

Adam I adore, everybody knows that, and I'm totally happy to see him happy. Silver medal, on his birthday, ha!!!!! That program is one of my faves, but I don't like that new bling blouse, doesn't scream birds. The old one was perfect. At least borrow Penny Coomes legendary peacock dress....

Bychenko, not that porny, but I love Pagliacci for him, glad he kept it. Lots of energy, lots of fun afterwards. He's totally adorable (being a 29 year old man, I know...) Loved how he and Adam fooled around with the camera. Two spot for ISR in Korea is awesome!

Jason B - power of the pj's! Now look what you've done. I've learned in the ladies PBP-thread that Med fell because she was wearing a black dress, not a red, so we all know what happened here.

Deniss - ditch the jacket, it must be the jacket! He has it all (-quad), I'm waiting for it to materialize in non-gangly results.

Ginger Soldier - he's first years senior. He doesn't have to win yet a gp yet, he have time, just ask Voronov. OTOH...we would love to go with you to the gym, love!

AWWWWWW sooooo adorable interview with our winner!! In every language!

Well Aliev is lucky he's a boy because otherwise this was overall a very crappy debut on the senior circuit. If he were a russian girl with less than stellar results (like his lovebird Kitty) RUS fed would be already planning to drop him out of the GP like they did with Sima.

Re NHK, that mens victory ceremony must have been the happiest ever:lol: They all looked glorious. Voronov looked seriously concerned about his trophy during the victory lap, I breathed a sigh of relief when he finally handed it over to someone.

And are those kimonos beautiful!

PS Voronov's tattoo says "Lady Di" ;)

His girlfriend's name is Diana, iirc ;)
And she designs his costumes :saint:

If that's their future they should buy a time machine. US girls are hopeless at the moment. All those years of bland pageanty skating with no b*tch fire has finally taken its toll.
Time for Zhang to save the state! :HA!:

Ladies and Dance NHK impressions:

Ladies:
Medvedeva: So, she's not a robot after all. I bet Zagitova keeps using her leopard leotard for practices and acts like is smelling the blood and fear from her. That said, Im still rooting for Evgenia for gold.
Kostner: If someone needs to be inflated on PCS its her.
Tsurskaya: Ok, im sold. Let us have a full Tutberidze team on Korea. Radio and Tuk are lost cases and Pogo has only herself to blame.
MIyahara: is the writing on the wall ?? those tiny jumps were going to cost her sooner or later.
Hongo: love the Frida program. there I said it.
Nagasu: Credit for keep trying with the 3A, given the awful state of US ladies im rooting for her olympic comeback.
Park: Bye bye Pyeongchang!
Chartrand: Don't tell me Pinky is even daring to nominate her again. She's toast.

Dance:
Virtue & Moir: not happy with the scores. A bit lackluster but still amazing.
Hubbell & Donohue: US battle royale at GPFinal... goooo horny Mad and Zach.
Cappellini & Lanotte: Always charming but so slooowww and generic. Has Luca lost his sex appeal ?
Katsalapov and that blonde girl: bleh...:blah:
Coomes and Buckland: she looks amazing on the FD but they are still too stiff after the injury.
Nazarova and Nikitin: voidie kids still have it:cheer:
Sorensen: Im going to be predictable and give him the "do-hard" award of this week. I remember him from Euros 2010 with his previous partner predicting he was going nowhere and now Im thinking is a shame such a drool worhty specimen wont be at Korea for the world to enjoy.
