But what happened with Mark? Is it a standing issue since he didn't compete internationally? Has to be. All his competitions were internal Russian events.. :( sucks for him

Yeah, having heard about Rylov's apparent injury, that's especially unfortunate timing. Here's hoping for good outcomes.

Nugu needs to kill some early challengers and make the case for the home TBA spot. All 4 of those are going to be nail biters to see which skater/teams Russia picks. Not that any of them are GPF candidates regardless, but that would be a big boost going into nationals a month later.

I wish Nugu got the spot given to Samodurova. The TBD at Rostelecom almost HAS to be for Maiia. She's at an easy GP where her only competition is Shcherbakova, and who knows if Maiia hits 3 quads and Anna is off like at Worlds, she might even WIN. But second is certainly doable, and therefore competitive for GPF. Looks like Nugu was screwed once again.
