Torgashev's sp yesterday was so cheesy and flowy, I loved it! He moves way better than Gogolev. I see a trainwreck in the making of he keeps on jumping like he does now...

I must confess I have never watched any video of Julia Soldatova, not even her world bronze performance:slinkaway:slinkaway

The dark days of Russian ladies skating which led to a nation wide procreation of baby girls genetically modified to do quad jumps at birth. :cheer2:

Weren't these the same days when Slutskaya was the sacred kween's main rival and even Butyrskaya managed to took one World title from her?? :shuffle:

Andrew Torgashev is my own, personal, one-man TTW. Sigh.

What worries me is where he gets so much pressure from? . If he were a stablished senior with something to prove I could understand but the kid is still in the JGP.. All the juniors generally skate with a careless nothing to lose attitude but he's always nervous as if his life depend on his jumps and of course he dies by the end.

Aside from Krall being an escape from Zakrajsek without having to have to move from the center of the USFS universe, whom has Cristy Krall helped overall? I'm not trying to be snarky, but I just don't know whether the Dartfish approach is better for concentrated work and analysis vs. long-term coaching.

I thought this was a significant step forward for Torgashev. Not a total meltdown, he just about rotated everything, and actually moved up to 3rd in the LP! :cheer:

The program and movement is, of course, stunning and engaging. He even makes that long telegraphed 3a entrance look good.

Patience, my friends. :)

I only have one favorite skater left who hasn't made it onto TTW, but she's trying.

The Han Yan Fan Van missed the train this year due to 4 flat tires. He is one skater who needs to take this year off to heal whatever ails him, and spend time with his new coaching team to see if his skating career can be salvaged.

Andrew has only relatively recently moved away from his parents as his coaches, who by the way are responsible for his excellent basic skating skills, so give him time. He's grown a lot, missed a year due to injury and does a lot of other stuff. He just needs to get his head in the game now.

It's okay, @Mad for Skating, people here doubt my age all the time. I'm 23, damnit!

Haha thanks! I get it all the time!

Adam's comment lol

Insta stalking news of today ...

The Original Polina in a trip to Paris she's all grown up
Javi as Guinea Chicken for a Huawei commercial You can check the full video here It's hilarious!!
Shoma doing initial kicks for a soccer match Is that Kazuki Timono next to him???
Kiira Korpi being casual and still utterly georgous
Sotnikova switching disciplines.. Im still bitter her career ended the same way as Baiul-Lipinski.

Do-Hard Bonus I think im getting that haircut next week.

I'm on the Righini train! (I really like his haircut; much better than the little ponytail/man bun look!) Where the heck is he, anyways? He hasn't competed in ages!

Han Yan has 3 4CC bronze medals so he should be inelegible. Yes, a 4CC bronze is the most irrelevant of the major medals but still....

I believe I actually nominated Torgashev for TTW because of his senior domestic eligibility but was denied. He has the goods.
Daddy is away. :sneaky:

A reminder:

I wish I could find my original proposal regarding Torgashev.
Daddy is away. :sneaky:

A reminder:

Criteria:
1) Skater needs a complete package to potentially be a top skater at Euros/4CC's/Worlds/Olympic level-I think he has the possible talent
2) Skater needs to have the ability to absolutely rock one day and splat the day after. Even better: rock and splat during one program-Yes. See his most recent international win at the prestigious Philly Challenge, 2015 Junior Nationals, 2016 Talinn Trophy bronze then last year's JGP final long and failure to qualify to the long program at Junior Worlds. Ability to land a 4t and nothing else in a program
3) Skater is not afraid of breaking one's heart over and over again-Meh. He doesn't really break my heart, but he really does have potential.
4) Skater needs more splat/messy performances than great ones-Obviously check.

Rules:
1) Worlds/Olympic medalists and Euro/4CC's champions are not eligible-Perfect. Can't even medal at JW
2) Multiple Euros/4CC's medal winners are not eligible Again perfect
3) Membership and changes to the Rules and Qualities shall be decided by consensus among longstanding posters in the #TeamTrainwreck Threads, subject to points 1) and 2)-working on it. Vote for Torgashev!!!

4) The pinky166 is not allowed to make more than one proposal a day- not pinky
5) Proposals can be submitted in the #teamtrainwreck thread-done

6) New membership is granted only to current skaters-yes
7) New membership is only granted to senior skaters (at least one international senior competition)-Yes Talinn Trophy 2016 and Philly International
8) Membership can be cancelled due to points 1) and 2), numerous decent skates in a row or not being competitive on elite level anymore. No worries of that so far

Qualities:
1) Being a student of Volchkova/Rukavicin
2) Big boobs/nice ass-
3) Boobs/belly/nipples showing
4) Mule kick-no mule kick, but the longest entrance into a doomed 3a ever
5) Being Uzbek/Russian-Russian skating parents
6) last name called Schott
7) Bizarre off ice incidents
8) Coach-Dad was coach for years.....
9) Costume (-Malfunction)
10) Splats-Check. Check
11) Bizarre Choreo-Open Arms is a sensitive choice. Gives his all to his choreo
12) Hair

@Cleo1782 @kwanfan1818 Now is the time to build a consensus. :watch:

All and all he checks of a lot of boxes. Might as well get him in early as he is only 17.

I wish I could find my original proposal regarding Torgashev..
I hate to break it to you, but you won't find exactly what you are looking for.

Torgashev was halfway decent at Nationals which is more than I can say about most of his performances the last two years. I would agree with the denial. He had potential, but he hasn't showed us an elite skate in some time.
We all make mistakes. Fortunately, sometimes it is possible to correct them. :)

Keep those opinions coming folks. I feel the distinct need to do some housekeeping in our Avignon office this weekend.
