#TeamTrainwreck 12: Done in by a World of Fun!

Watchlist member Orzel is going for another round on the junior circuit. Is he pulling a Schott? :blah:

I thought it was obvious he was staying Jr. The senior CAN field while not deep is still too crowded : Messing, Nguyen, Sadovsky, Nic and Reynolds that refuses to retire.

So JGP medals + Jr. Worlds + Ranking Points + Building momentum >>>> only one senior B during the season + remote chance of host SC pick .

@Jeschke IINM, Canada has room for only five skaters per discipline on its National Team. So, as @SamuraiK suggests, there isn't much benefit to Orzel from moving up to Seniors internationally when there are at least five men who finished above him at Nationals still out there competing.

How selfless of you! :40beers:
But I think we can count you in for the first FIN GP, or? ;) Unfortunately inner-home-country expenses are not covered by the foundation :drama:
Yes, you can count me in for that, expenses covered or not ;) Though we have the skate gods to thank that I'll make it because it was THIS close to clashing with my Australia trip. Had it been any of the following weeks, a GP basically in my backyard would've been a no-go. :drama: That would've been tragic!

Yeah, I get it, #teamlovebirds and everything, but isn't it a tad too early if this is an actual engagement ring? She's 16, he's 19! Otoh, Davankova is already a divorcee at the ripe age of 20 :p.

She already is?! Who's the next prey for Morozov therefore? Girls run away!

Nikolai Morozov seems set up for beating Elizabeth Taylor as far as the number of marriages & divorces is concerned.

Your Liz Taylor comment has saved your Morozov-intrusion in here @Areski ;)
And now let's focus back on TM2's hair and potential pairs partners.

🚨🚨🚨Tsareva Alert🚨🚨🚨

I have no idea who Samoilov is, but as long as it’s good enough to get Tsareva back into our K&Cs, I’m on board! :cheer:
Looks like Lavrenchuk and Vasilevsky (two senior coaches at Plushenko’s Angels) moved to Tsareva’s group/rink. They also took Mikhailova and Samoilov with them.
Am not 100% sure about this, but that’s what I have read on Russian boards

So I forced myself to watch a video and I actually kind of like him. Gorgeous 4sal.

Let’s hope this is true. See ya later Vik—I need Tsareva/Lavrenchuk K&C dynamic!

@Jeschke — ABBA Mikhailova + Tsareva :eek: now THIS is exciting offseason news! :respec: Much more exciting than Med going to Orser. So many fabulous possibilities. Slay!

Also good for Tsareva to (potentially) get Lavrenchuk, too, based on her history as a skater and what little I know of her as a coach, she seems to be an excellent jump technician. Lord knows Tsareva’s student(s) need it! :shuffle:

To be fair, even Tutberidze didn’t produce champions in the first few years of her coaching. Look at her work, how with each skater she got more experience and better and better results, from Schelepen to Lipnitskaya to Tsurskaya to Medvedeva...
Is there a need to point out, that after Shelepen all want downhill from me here? :D

Mikhailov confirmed on her ask.fm that she left with Vasilevsky and she's now coached by Tsareva/Lavrenchuk. There's also pics of her hanging out with other skaters from Sambo 70. Samoilov is still a rumor.

Something tells me Tsareva will be very differente with guys than with girls. She gives me the vibe of the mom that spoils her boy and treats her daughter like shit.

I'm in tears for D10. I don't know if I can even take it in yet... I come here because I know you will all understand :(:(:(

Hugs for @SmallFairy and everyone else :( There really are no words to convey how tragic and horrible this is. I can't even imagine what his family is going through right now.

Life is so precious and fragile and short. Damn. We'll miss you so much, D10.

D10 was a perfect member of TTW even with his Olympic and World medals. Absolutely brilliant skater who had so many ups and downs due to injury. His movement across the ice and expression was brilliant. I always hoped in each event that this will be the one! Now, there will never be another. Lost for stupid car mirrors. I feel so sorry for his family and for every skating fan.

My english is not so good to express how empty it felt when reading the news.. My fandom kinda grew up with D10. I first knew D10 from 2008 junior worlds. Such a tiny lovely thing and I still remember that precocious sweet kid rocking at 2009 Worlds.. He gave so much to the sport. And now is all lost for nothing.

Like with everytime someone passes away. I feel like all the bad memories (his late career strugles) are gone with him and I can only keep in my head all the joy he gave us to fans and to the sport:

- 2009 Worlds LP - He put KAZ on the map for all skating fans.
- 2010 Olys SP - The promise of his potential was latent. We knew he was going places.
- 2013 Worlds SP & LP - The potential became reality. His K&C after knewing he would get the first medal for KAZ was touching.
- 2014 Olys LP - What a comeback. Olympian medallist and so young!
- 2015 4CC LP - His best performance. Sublime.

I know he was already in HoF but after this I think he should be our new official patron saint. :(

Im torn
:(:(:(
