There were three, but Meijia Lu got chacked.

She doesn't really use the highlights of the music at all, except when she tried to time the flip to it. Turning in both directions in step seq.

Kween! Carmen in Black. This was a choreographically fierce program, but Kwan was under-the-weather with a cold, though she never used that as an excuse.

Very unpopular opinion but this is probably my favorite SP ever from Kwan. Absolutely brilliant and unique choreography. Love the placement of elements, too.

I was a huge Butyrskaya fan back in the day (still am), but in terms of presentation, this program is on a different level.

Indeed she did, and it kicked up just as much of a fuss (at least among skating fans) as when Felicity cut her hair. And if you don't get that reference, get off my lawn, whippersnapper!

Yeah, I like it now rewatching it. I was never a Kwan fan, so I didn't pay that much attention back then....Spiral is awesome! Loved the fierceness of the steps and the solid 3t.
