The worst thing was when Bute switched from the loop to the Flip in the SP. Surely a loop would have sufficed for a top 3-4 placement after the SP by 2002 for the likes of her.

Bute was old in singles skating years, so I guess a WC was a nice thing for her to have. Because after Slute it was going to be a long dry spell in Russian ladies.

I think they get cringey like her jump landings when she's hesitant and shaky, which happened a lot to her.

Butryskaya = the power of passion and perseverance.

Boy, there sure were a lot of grown up women/ ladies skating at this event. Pretty amazing. But of course no jam-packed tech difficulty.
