Every soccer expert Youtuber predicted that Germany would win the group AND make the top 4. Welp, not happening.

They should have won the group based on pedigree but they didn't have a great run up to this championship and played appallingly when here. I wish I spoke German to read the German papers and webpages. Should be interesting reading.

Actually its 2010 and 2014 all over again also.. 4 of the past 5 reigning champions were eliminated in the first round at the next cup. Its a curse now.

Its the same each cup. That's why they are doubling the number of asian entries from 2026 despite being a region with not so great results. FIFA wants the chinese cash.

I've got to say this is the best world cup I can remember . All matches unpredictable with intense playing and lots of goals and drama (stupid FRA-DEN match aside) and even though Peru were eliminated early at least they played well and Im no so football patriotic crazy so all I care is for a good championship and this one is certainly delivering.

No, they will play against the winner of grupo E: so either of Brazil, Serbia or Switzerland.
