New eps of NCIS:LA start up again this weekend on CBS (9 PM EST). I feel like they've been off the air forever so I'm super excited to have it back again with no more breaks through the end of the season!

Anyone who watches The Amazing Race and has a good trivia memory ….. in a recent season (maybe the last 3-5?) there was a task in a small village where there were no roads in the village, and all the residents used row boats to traverse thru narrow canals to reach their destinations. The task was the Teams had to traverse the canals in a boat following arrows (or something like that) to reach the next clue box. Does anyone remember what the name of the village was or where this task took place? I’m pretty sure it wasn’t Venice. It was this small, beautiful little village but I don’t remember what country it was in.


And speaking of Amazing Race, is there any chance at all we’ll get to see this show again? I’ve read they are filming a new season of Survivor now, but with all the travel I’m guessing it’s a no go for TAR right now. Will it ever be back?

For many years, The Voice coaches have told the contestants that more is more. So over-singing and over-performing is what they are shoved into doing. Whenever I watch a performer do something understated, I think how brave they are for ignoring their coaches bad advice.

Let's face it, the show and the coaches don't care anything about the performers. Over and over again, the coaches and the host talk about how many wins the coaches have. The coaches have not won anything. It's the performers doing the work. All the coaches have to do is give their horrible career-stalling advice.

The Kennedy Center Honors is on CBS tonight at 8pm. Being honoured are Debbie Allen, Joan Baez, Garth Brooks, Dick Van Dyke and Midori.

Also looking forward to the return of The Chase. Really enjoyed the first season earlier this year.

And for those of us in Canada, there are music specials from 2pm onwards culminating in the Juno Awards. Justin Bieber is performing for the first time in ten years. Also performing are Jann Arden, JP Saxe with Julia Michaels, The Tragically Hip with Feist, Serena Ryder with William Prince, Jessie Reyez and Tate McRae with Ali Gatie.
