The 3a talk comes from an article from a newspaper mentioning she got injured last season tying 3a.
(Link can be found in some old german thread in here)

While it is way more likely the 'journalist' mixed things up, I have my own reality where Schott tries hard getting that 3a done :D

It does. That 17th place at last year's Junior Worlds probably didn't do him any favors. (Also no quadruple jump yet, correct?) Realistically speaking, the Israeli fed was in between a rock & a hard place. I have a feeling that if Samohin had been third, they might have sent Gorodnitsky, but I can see why they didn't want to leave Bychenko at home. (Not that it is likely to help based on what we've seen this season). They did put Gorodnitsky on the sub list & last we heard Samohin was struggling with injury. Considering the thread we are in, Gorodnitsky might still get called:gallopin1.

Yeah, Gorodnitsky was pretty impressive this year, if he's the guy I'm thinking of!

I do sort of think it might be Time To Talk About Danny. When did he last skate clean, in any programme? Is there a deadline for him to still be considered internationally competitive, like... must have one clean skate by x date? Does anyone still hold out hope for him?

I can't speak for everyone but you made a good point. He's no longer competitive and I would have kicked him out already but knowing Boss he hangs until the bitter end is so bitter it feels like tasting liver.

Can we make it a test? Those are fun! Like, if he manages to land the 4sal before the end of the season, or something? Or gives it up and skates clean - I'd be happy with either option, tbh.

I see your points, and he's close to being kicked off, but I still believe he will prove his worth on the team this year.

And when he does, this will be my celebratory dance. Slay! :cheer:
