It's the week of Skate America aka as the worst skated GP event every season so...

Cuz it's generally the first event (except for last year) and sticks out in your mind, or you have stats to back up your impression? Surely not every skater at SA every season is trainwreck-worthy. There were some fine performances at SA in 2016 by quite a few skaters (I recall because I was there and saw it live, in living color, which is the best kind btw).

Tarasova & Morozov's new SP I really like the costumes.

I actually think they are worse than last years. They look like they are hookers working the corner at some Barnum & Bailey Circus where for 5 rubles more Hugh Jackman will prance about singing Lady Marmalade.

Well last year's relentless and awful yellow bees prancing to Aggie's Candyman lyrics was so headache-inducing and nauseous, I suppose anything is an improvement. But I see you appear to be referencing the costumes mostly. Many of the Youtube comments are thumbs-down on the program and the costumes. The costumes are kinda dizzying -- maybe intended to mesmerize and hypnotize the judges, eh! But there appears to be some okay choreo in there, even if derivative, which is going to be enuf for these two to skate to high 70s and 80+ especially when they go technically clean. P.J. Kwong has already (if prematurely) called T/M winning 2019 Worlds. Oh well, it might be worth it sitting through T/M trying so hard to be something they're not, just to see Maxi T and his baby blues in the kiss 'n cry. What a ginormous improvement over their former Elton-lookalike coach. But where's boffo porny Peter T and cool, stoic, drop-dead handsome Robin S?

In any case, judges have proven they need absolutely no enticing to automatically give T/M PCS out-the-wazoo no matter if they stumble and embarrass themselves all over the place or bore us to death. Yes, T/M have sublime technique when they are on, but by now I'm convinced they'll never be able to hot-up the arena no matter how hard they try to channel J/C or even P/C.
