On the contrary, he seems to find new partners far too easily and that’s why he can afford to regularly change them. If it was hard, he would probably stick to one and didn’t keep changing it. Seriously, S/S are so robbed of the host spot.

Is it at all possible that the Russian fed knows something we don't know? (Like maybe Skoptcova & Aleshin are really not going to make it back for the GP and Russia has a silent agreement to send S&S instead?) The decision just seems very odd. I mean, what is the point of skipping over the top ten on the replacement list in order to invite a lower ranked international team if you are then going to invite a host team that you won't even send to a Challenger first?

Good to see that Sergei Dobrin has a student like this . I always had a soft spot for Dobrin, he was quite a performer sometimes. Glad that he is having success as a coach now.

Well lets see what Tsurskaya looks like. I think it may be a confidence issue with her. But Buianova is p*ssing me off with her skaters low levels even if they are to land the jumps I'm waiting to see Rads footwork/spin levels and if they made improvements with Polina.

I really thought she'd shine this year. She looked really good at test skates, in fact I thought she "won" it over Tuk. Oh well, she'll fight back, but this really isn't look well for the ex-Eteri girls.

By the way, his SP was choregraphed by Adian Pitkeev per interview. LP by Sergey Komolov who was the choregrapher for Astakhova/Rogonov.
