Hanyu is doing Otonal! Hail Queen Bute, who's still...well, queen. The program thread stated Hanyu had asked Weir for permission ?!? Sacreliege! It's Queen Bute and her only who can grant wishes like that.

When I hear of Otonal I first think of Weir too. For many fans and skaters (including me) Butirskaya is too prehistoric And its clear that Hanyu is one of them cause in his early years was a massive Weir fan (his costumes were awfully inspired by him) so no wonder he sees Johnny's version as a classic. . That said Weir's program wasn't all that either..

She used it when she made her "comeback". She was such a true trainwreck, then she switched coaches, and appeared with new won confidence. She beat no.1 Russian Slutskaya for the European title in 1998, skating to Otonal. (Slutskaya was two times defending champion). And of course, she kept Otonal for the 98/99 season and won both Euros and worlds with it. It's kinda iconic. Weir did a nice tribute

Orzel shoul definetly stay in the watchlist instead of Torgashev. A true traintrewck keeps you on nail biting mode not knowing if he can pull it off like yesterday or if he will drop from 1st to out of the podium like Conrad did today. With Torgashev you just know he's going to mess the jumps.


Plus, Orzel is 10x hotter.
