Kropf/Lunin won the Intermediate Pairs event (they're good!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EX1AXhMYkJgI noticed Sasha Lunin, who has competed as a junior man at Nationals, is listed for Intermediate pairs at Skate Detroit (his mom is a pairs coach so perhaps it was expected he would try pairs at some point?).
15-second clip of the sbs spin at the end of Cain/LeDuc's Skate Detroit SP: https://www.facebook.com/ashley.cain.961/videos/2005606459452348/
So they're using 1 of 3 spots?Pairs Scoretracker is updated after Skate Detroit: https://unseenskaters.wordpress.com/scoretracker/current-pairs-scores/
ETA:
JGP assignments are not yet posted/confirmed on USFS' International Assignments page but 2018 Novice champs Jade HOM / Franz-Peter JEROSCH currently are listed for the first JGP in Bratislava (eta: H/J looked like they deliberately left out the throw jumps from their programs in Detroit) and the 2 listed alternates are both returning teams:
Sarah FENG / TJ NYMAN (registered but did not compete at Skate Detroit)
Laiken LOCKLEY / Keenan PROCHNOW (skated a good SP at Detroit but a very rough FS)
So they're using 1 of 3 spots?
Tarah, Danny and Jim Peterson in CO springs working with Delilah on their twist. Very interesting, i have my own high drama theory. But what does everyone else think of this?

My personal theory is that she is salty that Chris and Alexa left. She knows that none her pairs at the moment will be able to compete with them at the moment. So she's going to help their biggest competition to try and prove that she is the better coach and was responsible for their success.
Also does anyone else think JP's comment was super passive aggressive. Also, the fact that they were already in CO and he showed up makes it seem like he was like yes she can help you, but I will be their to make sure she doesn't steal you guys. It comes off as kind of territorial.
Wow this board is no fun. I love the conspiracy's so i'm going to stick with it.
I don't know how anyone believes this we want to work together and improve U.S. pairs. Every team wants to win at all costs. I don't believe their is anyway that JP and Dallilah would have worked together if Chris and Alexa were still their ... Everyone is out for themselves and that motivation has inspired some interesting collaborations, which I think will benefit U.S. pairs as a whole.
There are a few possibilities here, including Dalilah wanting to get her hands on a top team, as she, for the first time in a long time, isn't working with a team with a real chance of winning Nationals.
^^ Oh jeez, why over-think this development? Do any of you 'salty'-loving conspiracy theorists personally know Dalilah or Jim? Do you know anything about either of their motivations or thought processes? Dalilah has some uber-talented up-and-coming younger teams (including Digerness/Neudecker and Feng/Nyman)*, so I'm confident that she will continue to have her hands full in the sport as long as she desires. As I already initially mentioned, and others have repeated: Part of the reason Dalilah may feel unconstrained about assisting K/O is because she's no longer coaching their direct rivals. And so why then is Dalilah lending her assistance being seen as an opportunity for casting aspersions and devising suspicious motivations on her part? JP is the one who placed the call to Dalilah in the first place. And she responded graciously.
I'm looking for interesting training news or program clips about U.S. pairs, not off-season fantasizing and dramatizing. Please take the over-dramatic fiction and over-thinking to Trash Can. Thank you.

http://spacecoastliving.com/sights-set-on-an-olympic-future/ (a 2015 profile on Nyman before he paired with Sarah Feng)
"Tommy-Jo Nyman was destined to be a figure skater. Both his parents are former professional skaters and currently work as instructors in the industry. His great-grandmother was a ballerina and several other relatives were musicians and actors... 'I love skating to programs with jaunty, upbeat and interesting choreography,' said TJ. 'My goal is to always try to get the audiences and judges to smile...'"
Yes, I do. For over twenty years. Do you? And did you read the second part of my post?
