I doubt that because she is too dumb. I mean she fell for the classic prisoner's dilemma outcome where everybody told on everybody else except her.

I do not agree with StasiyaGalustyanLove value system, but I appreciate that it does obey the law of transitivity:

jay walker < Harding < Bobek => jay walker is redeemable, while it is unknown if Bobek and Harding are redeemable.

jay walker < Harding < Bobek => Harding is redeemable, therefore the jay walker is redeemable and it is unknown if Bobek is redeemable.

jay walker < Harding < Bobek => Bobek is redeemable, therefore Harding and the jay walker are redeemable.

Haven't read all the posts, so this may have already been discussed. I wonder how they decide which skaters to cast in the show. Tonya and Adam are obvious. But, Mirai? I guess being the first American woman to land one in the Olympics is the reason why she was chosen to be in the cast, even though her non-team performances weren't her best. Maybe Mirai should be thankful that she wasn't chosen to be in the Olympics in 2014, otherwise she would never had this opportunity to be in DWTS. She can thank Ashley for that, LOL, who was never chosen for the show even though she performed better than Mirai at the last Olympics. Maybe they don't like Ashley's personality, which I don't blame them. How embarrassing that the commercials with Ashley was aired during the 2018 Olympics, but she never made the team.
 
I was just reading the Drag Race forum on previously.tv and discovered that Adam will be doing a cha-cha to "Sissy That Walk" by RuPaul tomorrow!

I still don't plan on watching. #boycott

You left out Chris Bowman, Andrei Lutai, and Maxim Staviski in the list. I'd say Staviski got away with the most. J Baldwin may end up on the list too.

It went very well for Meryl with the storyline of secret romance with Max with lots of steamy dancing. The thing is that Max
did more for her bringing out the inner passion which was entirely lacking in her skating before and now she really performs the sh**it out of her programs.

I haven't watched skating in many years and just returned to this quads. Did not watch Sochi so had no clue who Gracie Gold or Ashley Wagner was, and was stunned to see all the quads. So yeah, it is completely possible to go through life and not know anything about skating and I'm sure Tonya does not go out of her way to watch it.
 
It is possible that Tonya didn't recognize her in regular clothes as opposed to skating outfits as well. Where I work, we have to wear hairnets ( cookie manufacturing plant), and uniforms. I have occasionally not recognized some of the coworkers out of uniform without the hairnet when shopping but will remember once they speak.

I just think all this hype around her is ridiculous. I'm sick of someone who left the sport 24 years ago under fishy circumstances trying to come back and make herself seem like a celebrity. The sport doesn't need the image of a knee-thunking has-been. We need cool people like Adam and Mirai to show that figure skating is current, progressing, and the people who do it don't turn out to be criminals!

Im not an NFL player so if I dont watch for 4 years yeah I may not know who the Rams quarterback is.

I dont see what your statement has to do with the price of tomatoes.

I actually don't have any problem believing that Tonya does not follow skating anymore (I mean, there is a possibility that someone related to I, Tonya promotion could have mentioned Mirai and the triple axel), I actually believe her on this one. I think that she said on Ellen that she doesn't really follow skating anymore, it's not like US skaters are that famous. It's not like she's one of the former national champions who goes to nationals each year.

Tonya has been banned from USFSA events- even as a coach. Why would she pay attention to nationals or the Olympics?

Just because someone has been a worlds medalist doesn't mean that they are glued to their TVs keeping up with skating developments. Some stay involved and others move on with their lives.

And you don't need to be rude about it. When I skated, many lower level coaches where not paying attention to nationals/worlds and only knew of a few competitors. Mirai Nagasu, Ashley Wagner, Gracie Gold are not on the public's radar the way Michelle Kwan was.
