3A + 2A pretty nice though?You wish. 3A+2A+2A+2A.
You are correct. ISU points?Junior ladies Jessica Jurka competing at the Trophy Metropole Nice Cote d'Azur 2024 in October, and this is her gofundme page https://www.gofundme.com/f/trophy-metropole-nice-cote-dazur-2024
Is this likely to be one of the "pay on your own" competitions?
Someone commented on Reddit ~1 month ago that Soho was kicked out of Sean Rabbit's training group after nationalsI haven't seen anything about Soho Lee so far this season. Soho finished 2024 Nationals in 11th place after a rough season. Has anyone heard anything about where she will be competing or about her music?
The following weekend is the last NQS on the west coast - Pacific NW Interclub Championships in Snoqualmie WA, which is in the Seattle metro area. Pretty quick, easy flight from LA. Other doable, quicker travel would be the Austin Autumn Classic in Austin TX the weekend after that. All that being said, I'd be surprised if we see her competing. The final NQS in California is Pasadena Open from September 11th-15th. If Soho plans to compete this season, this is the most likely place we would see her. That being said, the NQS continues through October 6th.

SoHo and Team Ten80 separated their working relationship effective this past February. You shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet... But also, that would line up timeline wise.
If it's true, I wonder what happened. Sean himself is so nice and even keeled it's hard to imagine him kicking someone out for no reason. Therefore, I want to know the tea![]()

Lee began skating when she was 6 years old and now competes professionally across the country with Team USA and at Great Park Ice with Team Raf. In 2023, she was named U.S. junior national champion, which has been her greatest achievement so far, according to Lee....
However, she began to lose enjoyment in skating when her former rigorous schedule took a toll on her mental health, according to Lee. Now, she only takes four academic classes and practices cheer and skating for two hours each day.
“For skating, there was a time it became a lot like work instead of a sport that I enjoyed because I was homeschooled before for about a year, and mentally, I was so exhausted because I would go to the rink every day and train,” Lee said. “Then when there would be bad days, I would be like ‘Why am I doing this?’”
Now back in public school and managing her stress better, Lee finds that the shift in her schedule has allowed her to improve her skating abilities. With more than enough time to complete her homework, Lee said she can now balance school and her athletic passions successfully. Lee is currently preparing for a selection competition in Milwaukee for the 2024 international season
Aha! Thanks so much! Can't wait to see the final product!
Alysa Liu's Freeskate is to MacArthur Park by Donna Summer? Still looking for that Instagram post for corroboration. Looks more like a short program.

Probably not very much since the interview linked a few posts above except for going to class, practice, and games. What happened to Soho?
Cleo has the next highest score from Jr Cup. We may have to see what kind of a score Sophie Joline von Felten puts up at the NQS she's competing at this weekend, but she's been all over the map with her scores at Jr Cup, Cranberry and her 1st NQS, so I'd probably give the edge to Cleo. With Josephine Lee placing 5th in Ostrava, there should now be an open spot in Gdansk (or one other event, but most likely Gdansk, I would think). Any guesses on who gets it? Cleo Park?
I'd missed that Cleo scored 187 as a junior at Glacier Falls. I'd definitely give it to Cleo - even if Sophie lays down a hell of a score today, I can't see her outdoing Cleo's 187.Cleo also scored 187 at Glacier Falls, which is one of the highest NQS scores, although Mia Kalin did score 193 at Cactus Classic in senior, but then this event did seem to have generous scoring. I would still give it to Cleo since Mia has already had plenty of opportunities.
I was overall very disappointed with what we saw. Lee has a long way to with line and expression imo. The commentary raving about the programs was bizarre to me. Her arms were just flapping around bent with rounded shoulders. Overall movement was jerky and with very little flow. I did see a few picturesque movement in both programs but they were few and far between. They did say that she was practicing horrible so that the performances were much better than they expected so maybe that explained their delight.Disappointed with Josephine Lee’s overall performance in Ostrava. We all know what she is capable of from Nationals. I’m getting shades of Jeremy Abbott. She can be really excellent, is a very good spinner, but never performs on the JGP to her true abilities. On the plus side, loved her short program and her expression there. Rachmaninov is my all time favorite composer and I applaud her trying the music, but I think she does better with more driving music, than balletic classical. She still has a couple more years before senior. Wonder what her goals are in the junior ranks?
I’d prefer to have USFS give the next open assignment to a skater with a triple/triple in the free skate. Do we have one in juniors? I’m definitely missing Sherry Zhang, though I don’t know if she has a solid triple/triple yet. She did not underrotate and has great spins and compelling expression.
