Thanks @Wyliefan :) - Sherry's FS ends with Olivia Rodrigo's "Can't Catch Me Now" (from the THG prequel film) - I like this music for her! Sherry won the Junior Women's FS event (ETA - scored 112 and attempted her first 3Lz+3T in competition with 3T called <) and Keira was 2nd with 108 (SP & FS scores were not combined at this club comp.); Cleo Park and Alayna Coats were 3rd & 4th in the FS (top 4 all scored 100+).

I'll copy over these video posts and include the links in the 2024 U.S. Club & NQS competitions thread with results links in the Kiss & Cry section (will edit in the link here when it's up).

A Twitter account posted some U.S. women's performances from the All Year Open:

Sherry Zhang with a new FS to the Hunger Games soundtrack:

Keira Hilbelink's new Beauty and the Beast FS that @Sylvia mentioned earlier:

Josephine Lee with a new FS to Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2:

All very nice. Loving Josephine’s Rachmaninov FS!

Or Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk by Rufus Wainright.

I’m worried we are in for a season of Teddy Swims and Benson Boone - Beautiful Things - new warhorse alert.

Here's a Northern Virginia article on Sarah Everhardt -- in the words of her English teacher "so unassuming and so laid back" (June 7):

So either Starr or Sarah must win Cranberry Cup, to make it to SkAmerica?! Go, Starr and Sarah! Cranberry will be fun. A good streaming service this year, please.

Alysa Liu seems to have really kept up her skating skills during her break. Her edging and flow look impressive.

P.S.
I think all skaters should have to opportunity to skate to live music. I think it adds so much to the performance!

Logan Higase-Chen scored extremely well (especially for this early in the season) at Broadmoor: 62.64 SP + 123.71 FS (with 7 triples) = 186.35 if you combine (SP and FS were separate events). If she skates anything like this in Milwaukee in 2 weeks she should almost certainly get one of the JGP spots.

Jr women start list for the Jr Team Cup - https://ijs.usfigureskating.org/leaderboard/results/2024/34454/CAT002SEG002.html

Like the men, I'm sorting them into groups - strong contenders, possible contenders, unlikely contenders (2024 Nats placement as well as any 2023-24 Jr Int'l Assignments - excluding Cranberry & Kings Cup Int'ls)

Sophie Joline von Felten (J9 - has a semi-reliable 3A)
Keira Hilbelink (J2)
Cleo Park (J3, Tayside Trophy-J1)
Logan Higase-Chen (J1, Budapest Trophy-J1)
Annika Chao (J5, JGP Bangkok-5)
Emilia Nemirovsky (J4)
Josephine Lee (S2, JGP Linz-8, JWC-20)
Mia Kalin (S8, JGP Osaka-8)

Angela Shao (J7)
Jiayang Ellyse Johnson (J6)
Ela Cui (J8)
Jessica Jurka (J12 - attempting a 3A on social media clips)
Teryn Kim (J10)
Mia Barghout (n/a)

Jasmine Clarke (J18)
Sofia Bezkorovainaya (J14)
Alina Bonillo (J13)
Ella Kim (n/a)
Alayna Coats (n/a)
Courali Clay (n/a)

Notable jr women not competing - Elyce Lin-Gracey, Sarah Everhardt - this would seem to confirm they have chosen to compete senior only internationally this season - and that's a very smart move for both IMO; also not competing - Sherry Zhang, Soho Lee, Elena Wilson, Maria Platonova (there were 2 women who competed in Jrs at Nats who aren't jr age-eligible internationally until next season - Hannah Kim & Zhiqi "Coco" Zhang).
